Everyone else gets a pass, but not the Griz

Go get em, Hav. You are right in everything, most everything, you are saying. I am enjoying watching you kick the ass of all of these negative guys, especially CV. And for you negative guys, let me know which one of you wants to disagree and take me on. I'd be happy to support Hav and help kick your asses too. I'm not going to stay up too late, but I'm ready to roll. Bring it on.
What a Jack-hole!

Ssssh. He's sleeping.

You could rename this thread, "the price of leadership"
Have you seen anyone taking a shot at Sac State for winning or making excuses for why they won? Sure there are some fair weather fans and some die-hards that have high expectations but if you take all of those away yours is just an average program, not the elite FCS program others are envious of.
I'm the first one to be happy the Griz lose, (Eagle fan here), but you should be happy all of us naysayers are nipping at your hamstrings and not giving your program the benefit of any doubt.
We hate (don't give you a pass) you because of the success' you have had, and in fear of the success' you will have.
Don't be too self conscious and celebrate who you are... THE GRIZ.

But we're not playing the best teams in the country and losing, we're playing weber f***ing state and losing!!! At home!!!! Because our f***ing head coach won't kick a goddam field goal. This could have been an ugly win, but instead is an ugly loss due to our coaches inability to take the easy points and lean on the defense

Lets say he kicks the 2 FG's, but we don't score the last TD and lose by 1...all would be bitching that we didn't go for a TD when we had the chance...jmo

No. Can't agree. One of the FG's would have been enough. Any time you come away with points in the third that's a positive. There was over a quarter left to play. Take the points, reduce the margin, get at least a little positive for the Offense and have confidence. Same strategy that beat NDSU. Sure we would all be bitching about a 3 point win over lowly Weber, but at least it would be a W. They don't keep you out of playoffs for an ugly W.

Negative? No. I just feel that it does no good to post this type of post after a loss such as this.....

Sour grapes aren't really relevant to me. I didn't play, coach, athletic trainer or anything else today. I didn't lose. CV, let me ask you this, do you think the only reason the Griz beat NDSU is because Wentz got hurt and C.J. Smith didn't play?

The Griz beat NDSU because the Griz were a unknown wild card. NDSU didn't know what to expect and didn't have any relevant game footage to study. Wentz being hurt as well as home field advantage helped the grizzz win as well. And yes, the griz executed their game plan very well. Now teams know what the grizzz are about. I don't think things would look that much different even if QB1 was still playing, he didn't look good past the NDSU game. At least having these injuries give the grizzz an excuse to suck...definitely takes some heat of of shitt. And for the record, not having your star quarterback absolutely makes a difference ( in reference to the last two griz-cat games).

Man some griz fans can be funny, they think somehow if they throw themselves on the ground and have a fit after every loss that will help the griz win. Div I football is an incredibly demanding sport. It is a gruelling season for the players involved. It is a game of attrition and it's all hands on deck by the end of the season. Teams like Weber State or any other team in the BSC have Div I athletes on their roster that come to compete just like the griz do, most of which were the best athletes in their respective schools and conferences and they also play to win. College football week to week can be an emotional roller coaster and it is very difficult to peak every week, sometimes you're in a valley and their is a let down. Sometimes teams just match up bad. Grow up people, I think most of you have become completely desensitized as to what is actually going on when these teams take the field. There are no easy wins in the BSC and we are going through a little plateau with a new coach.

A voice of reason...

A voice of reason? This is really turning into freak show....

If you look at the Big Sky schedule so far, you see a lot of parity. No team really emerging, and maybe Sac State and Nor Colorado the only real weak links. So yeah, I think the season kinda will be a game of attrition, with the healthier terms finishing strong.

As far as Stitt's aggressiveness, I think it contributed in a huge way to our win over NDSU, but unfortunately it contributed hugely to a loss today. But I still think it will produce more wins than losses over time. Only time will tell.

By the way, when someone has a different viewpoint than you, it's not called a "freak show". It's called a message board. If you want your own opinion bounced back at you, practice talking to a mirror.
Nobody is seeing parity they are watching 10 really bad teams play each other on a schedule. The only reason some teams have a win or 2 is because they played another bad team. The scuttlebutt is simple Griz are a struggling team but we are a game or 2 from winning this conference. That gets us in the playoffs and then the real games start, anything can happen that is why they play games. Player and Haver are right some of you need to cool down and understand things before you look like dummyheads any longer or atack posters with vulgarity like hammer and the low scuff crowd. Be a fan or leave because we don't need you around when this gets better and it will soom.

I think it will! Two weeks to reconfigure the offense with Simis and heavier doses of Calhoun and Roberts. If the D can keep playing strong, we can finish strong! Believe...

One of the coolest things to watch is our receivers climbing the ladder and getting the ball. Gamers, all of them! I'm also very excited for Simis. I know he is 3rd string, but sometimes it takes the right person and the right situation to show something special. I don't think we will make it out with only 1 more loss. However this team has the potential to do so. If we only have 1 more loss or we run the table, I will be amongst the happiest people on earth (I'm assuming Griz Nation will be as happy as I am).
