My point is this, as I'll say ONE MORE TIME for those who refuse to read entire posts, or threads, I'm posting about three facts that are hindering the University of Montana Grizzly football PROGRAM. It's as a whole. I'm not on the cliff bhumble. I don't have to be., I know Stitt won't get fired and I know the Griz will play hard every game this season. I know both of those to be FACT, and I'll be there supporting them every step of the way. But playing with four less schollies and a third-string QB is a hinderance to this football program, and MY POINT IS, that every other program gets a pass in those situations, but Montana doesn't. Montana just doesn't get the same pass. Again, NDSU fans, and many Griz fans BELIEVE the Griz only won because Wentz got hurt and Smith didn't play. I'm saying, the Griz don't get those same kinds of excuses, down a starting QB and starting center. I'm pointing out that UM doesn't get the same pass, that even it's OWN fans are giving NDSU for losing to the Griz.

NDSU lost to the Griz because they called stupid plays at the end of the game and left too much time, the Griz lost to Weber because they called stupid plays on 3rd and short and 4th and short (twice) and left 6-14 points on the field. Is that fair?

There were what, 2 or 3 scholarships reduced? Take the partials away from a few scout team guys and that means nothing at the FCS level.

That's a good level headed post. But if you're not completely disgusted that the GRIZ are not who they were in 1997 then they are lost. It's gonna take some time, get used to it. If this happens again in 2017, then panic. Give him time. He needs time. The eGriz crowd is fully incensed and equally impatient. It's one loss. It's growing pains. Settle.

I believe it's 3 losses, 2 which never should have happened. And it's not the players not getting it done. It's poor decisions by the coach.

You are absolutely correct. I have no idea what your point is. Who says that other teams get a pass and the Griz don't? I sure don't. I really could care less about what the MSU posters have to say about things. It's an "in state rivalry". Anything said from these two fan bases is nothing more than empty words. I'll restate my thoughts so you don't misunderstand me, this Griz team is a 7-4 team IMO. It probably won't win the BSC but it might win a playoff game. Stitt will eventually settle into the job and he is certainly better than Delaney. The team is decent but it has many holes. This was a bad home loss but it shouldn't be unexpected given this teams weaknesses and how they have played so far this season. If you feel the need to explain your point more, go ahead.....

What is your point? I've read it twice and I can't make any sense out of it. That every time we lose we should dig out the excuses? Excuses are for losers, you play the hand you're dealt. Every game has key moments that determine the outcome, some good and some bad, and sometimes games are won and sometimes they're lost. Just because we have guys hurt or a few less scholies doesn't mean we put a star by a loss, it's a loss, just like MSU without Prukop or Wentz with a bad wheel...you play who you got and live with it.

Four games to be exact. I'm pretty sure if you look at the history books you'll see a few 4 game win streaks by the Griz. You were either on the beginning or end of one if memory serves correct.

In looking up an answer to another posters question, the last time there was a four game LOSING STREAK was 1985, the same year of a three game losing streak. Griz went 3-8, and Donovan went away. Griz have the potential to set some records this year, unfortunately.

Have I read your post. You said Griz playyer like shit but so what, the can sometimes play well so bad losses are o.k. Did you read my post? Did you go to the game? Rome isn't burning Nero, it is mostly ashes. Are we ok with "we beat the Cats so it was a good season"? Seriously, this thing, after 6 seasons of mediocracty and 2nd - 3rd place conference finishes, is coming apart. Deny, justify, debate as you wish, but 4 years of declining UM enrollment and not even winning a conference title, much less dominating the conference is not just bad - it is devasatating. Digest it, first home loss to Weber since 1987. 1987. 198motherfickin7. And this isn't a good Weber team. They suck. They really suck, but somehow the Griz are worse. Maybe UM will be a basketball school again. The football magic is gone. And the golden money goose is going to be gone with it. But at least Providence had a good fundraising day.

Wasn't your starting Qb playing the entire game against Cal Poly, and didn't he go out against Liberty when the Griz were already down 17? Every team in the Big Sky is missing starters... Yes, missing your Qb sucks, but you essentially lost your first two games with your starting QB. The problem is not the fact that your starting QB is out...
