Disagree. I thought our offense was pretty good this year. The only time it didn't look good was on Saturday, and that's largely because Fife had zero time to throw the ball downfield. Other than that they were pretty good. They were bad against Davis but's that's only because of the QB rotation and nobody could get in a groove at all which I'm not even sure if Pease has any control over that. Play calling has been the least of our issues this year.

UM has a new OC and the old OC coaches at Cal Poly. "In name only". That's just stupid. I have plenty of tickets to the Canyon Club for this game. You don't know people who impact the university. And I sit with people who understand the game, a number of whom played for the Griz.

It’s hilarious how these posts are inevitably coming every year after we lose this game.
This time last year everyone was thrilled and all was pointing in the right direction.
Cats beat us this year. It sucks. Last year we went to the national title.
We have better football and basketball facilities than the cats. Better stadium in both regard. Weight training facilities are the same. We have a completed indoor bubble. When they finish there’s I guess you can give them the advantage on that. But we still have functionally the same building. The whole purpose was to get the team out of winter elements which it does. When the time comes they will be able to take down the bubble and throw up a permanent frame around the field very quickly.
We still sell out our stadium and have more season ticket holders than they do. I believe our QB club is also still larger than there’s. When I joined QB club we had roughly 200 people. Now it’s well over 600. 300% increase and that includes money coming in.
The loss this weekend was disappointing but to make it sound like we’ve just been surpassed in every facet is just objectively not true.

Institutionally MSU is on a different level and it’s not close. Enrollment alone (17,200>10,800)) is only one big factor. In my opinion the main reason for the rise of MSU is their president.

Those things change. They eb and flow. And right now MSU is experiencing a time where they’ve had their best president ever and best QB probably best Bobcat ever at the school at the same time. Both leave after this year. I wonder if it will have any ramifications.
Also they still haven’t won a national title with all of those things coming together at the same time. These next few weeks are their last chance. See if they can get it done.
They currently have 17 open DOJ investigations, compared to UM so it looks like they beat us in that metric as well.

I don't agree. UM has lots of good things going for it, including a better president. Yes, MSU has done well under the retiring president, but, having lived in both towns, I much prefer Missoula. It's too cold and snowy in Bozeman too. Better skiing, tho. Bozeman has a nice but unimaginary downtown. Missoula's is much better. Missoula has a real river running through it. Yes, I saw the word institutionally. How's the law school, pharmacy school, journalism school, programs associated with the Flathead Biological Station, etc.

people are more generous in Bozo..I rolled in the night before the game and set up and by the time I passed out by the library I had about $300..I don't get that in Missoula unless maybe before Christmas and even then it takes most of a day. I kind of wanted to stay and set up after the game as i am sure i would have made bank but was able to catch a ride in the back of a pickup heading back and figured I still was flush from the night before. I hate getting political but the people that you think would want to kick your ass and run you out are always the most generous. The freaking hippies don't give shit other than some stupid lip service....

Nail on the head! Bozeman is like an embryonic Los Angeles.....endless sprawl, no end in sight. And a river definitely doesn't run through it.

UM will never be able to compete in the NIL arena. The one area that unequivocally impacts a team is the quality of coaching. Look at Indiana this year. Cignetti has won everywhere he has been. Google it! We would be far better off investing in paying coaches elite salaries so we are not stuck creating a geriatric unit.
Except the one time Indiana actually played a real opponent, they lost by 23. Perhaps Indiana isn't as good as they appear and they benefitted from a SOS of 110 in FBS

One thing I do agree with is that the current coaching staff does not understand the current environment of the sport they are coaching or this generation of kids.
I’m a Bobby supporter but I have my doubts if he can ever figure this part out. Many coaches are doing more with much less. I think someone like Plough would get to Montana and say “my god. I have all of this to sell kids” and dominate. I don’t necessarily think Bobby has ever done that.
