Expedia, Orbitz and Kayak also advertising cheap flights from Billings to Denver starting at $125 one way, $249 round trip, also on United.

You need to actually check the flights not what is advertised. I know there are fares as you quoted but why don't you go check for flights this week for those fares.

No, if we are talking about Butte, Billings is 220 miles from Butte, while Spokane is 317 miles from Butte. ( I believe GTID lives in Butte, not Missoula.)

If you're talking about Missoula, Missoula is closer to Spokane ( 197 miles ) vs. Billings, 340 miles.

God damn airfare is expensive to Denver. I’ve never seen it so pricey to Denver. Southwest wants $600 round trip.

Bad News: The $ 249 round-trip fare, BIL to DEN does need to be booked about a month in advance, GTID, and I suspect those dirt- cheap fares may go away during the summer months. The normal fare on very short notice was $ 589.

Good News: On Priceline, I fed BIL to DEN departing Wed., Mar. 19 and returning Fri., Mar. 21, and the best Priceline could do was $ 295 round trip. That's obviously about $50 more than $249, but still really good, especially on 2-3 days notice.

I think if you work your computer and phone a little, GTID, you can get down to Denver and back on United from BIL for about that $295 I found just now on Priceline.

Good luck and if you're flying out of BIL GTID, breakfast, lunch or dinner in Downtown Billings for you, you and the wife, significant other, suga boogar, etc. is on me !!!

Flights.google.com is a good way to expand a search. Also can use the flexible dates method for other in/out dates. Experiment with flying out of other cities to Denver

Are there going to be events around Denver for Montana this weekend in addition to the game like a pep rally?

The Alumni Association is planning a couple of events for the first-round game in Denver. Here's what we have to date:

Joining will be the UM Pep Band, Dance Team and Monte along
with Athletic and Alumni staff.

10 a.m. | Thursday, March 20
Michelob Ultra Mountain House (located in Ball Arena)
