ESPN3 HERE WE GO AGAIN

I have Directv specifically so I can get Root. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you cannot get ESPN3 if you have Directv??? Streaming is so frustrating in general.
We get the Gameplan games via DirecTV because we bought it at the start of the season, which gives us access to the 700 channels where those games are broadcast. As I've mentioned on several threads, we've watched a ton of FCS games from all over the country.

Trying to be helpful, my wife just talked to a service rep there, and you can buy a weekend pack ... but it sounds kind of pricey. Bottom line, if you have DirecTV, they will give you TV access if you throw enough money at them.

The downside is that those 700 channels are not in HD. Watching them on an HD-enabled TV is a bit of a shock, especially if your "Previous Channel" is conventional HD. (We do that a lot.) Still, that picture is better than most online steaming feeds I've seen.

Weekend of games for ESPN GamePlan via Charter is $26
FWIW, that's less than a ticket for the Griz-San Diego game. Oh, don't get me wrong, we will be in WaGriz on Saturday, but for those folks looking to save a little beer money....

Just got off the phone with Direct TV. The game will be a pay per view on Game Plan.
You can't order the game until Friday. Now the ugly part. I was told the game will be $39!
The whole year cost of Game Plan is $75!
Seems unreasonable to me,but what is a fan to do?
Just because you can charge that much doesn't mean a business with a large presence in
Missoula should. Couldn't they be more reasonable with their Montana Griz customers?
Maybe I was given incorrect information (I hope).
GO GRIZ!

In the past, we did the "one game" thing and we learned one good point (back then): When we signed up for "a" game, we got all the games shown on that day. That may have just been a "glitch" in their control system back then, but it worked every time for us. If it still works that way, it's a much better deal since you end up seeing as many first-round games as you want (have time for :) ).

After doing that, we decided paying the full amount at the start of the season made a lot more sense. We have watched an amazing number of regular season FCS games this year ... and we're all set for the playoffs. :thumb:

I opened my watch ESPN app and entered my login info for Charter and it said it was verified and worked. I figured out that you need to use the Charter email they give you. I tried the username that I use to get onto the Charter website and that didn't work. I tried the email address and bingo.

FWIW. my email address was my [email protected].
You live in /near Fargo right?
You do not live in Charter's Mountain States region (Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah)... we new to the company and not on board with all the perks just yet

No I'm in Missoula. 3 blocks from WaGriz.

I've always had good luck with ESPN3 on my kids Xbox, good picture and easy to navigate all the games. I assume it will be the same again?

Same thing here. Its the only reason I have an Xbox gold membership is for the playoffs.

Reminder for all of you parents relying on Xbox viewing. You only have a few more days to make up a reason to ground your children from using the game platform...

Called DirecTV at 800-531-5000 and registered my complaint that Dish had ESPN3 and we had to do gameplan... got him to give the list of games and agreed to pay $24.99. done deal -- no $39 cost.

FWIW, I have Charter (internet only) in Missoula, and I was able to use my [email protected] credentials to login to Watch ESPN via FireFox....However, it appeared all I had access to was "ESPN3" games....

I was able to watch a game, but it was just a replay. Hoping that it works on the day of for the "live" event.
