ESPN +

How are people looking ESPN+?

Does Espn+ essentially just stream whoever is televising the game? For instance would the Cal Poly and WIU game on ESPN+ be Shaun Rainey and SWX's telecast that they stream? How long are the games available to watch? How long are they archived?

Yep. It's the SWX crew.
If you use the search function, you can find games that are several weeks old, some from the spring, depending on the school.

I love it. Best deal they have made. The games are available for quite a while.

YES! Have had it for about 2 years and it is especially awesome for archive games or ones you have missed.

The ONLY thing I don't like about ESPN+ is that they don't offer an app for my smart tv, and there's no way to cast from a mobile device, which means I still have to connect a laptop to the tv. Other than that, it's great.

"In the ESPN+ tab within the ESPN app on Apple, Android, and Amazon Fire devices, Roku, Samsung Smart TV, Chromecast, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Oculus Go. See the full list of supported devices and how to stream here."

Thanks but I've already done the research and there isn't an app for my LG tv, and I don't have any of those other devices.

According to LG, you can download either the Apple TV or Android TV App onto your smart TV. If you do this you can easily stream from your phone/tablet to your tv.

Our tv is about 6 years old, and many of the apps that are supposed to be available from LG are not available for our tv (the only way to access them is through the LG content store). Some manufacturers continually add apps even for older tvs but LG does not see the need to do that apparently. It's a great way to get people to buy new crap all the time.

Roku, chrome cast, and fire sticks are pretty cheap. It should give you a nicer option than streaming from a laptop.

We used to have a Chromecast and then one of our young adult children "borrowed" it and that was the last we saw of it. Yes I know there are other options but honestly it's not usually an issue except during football season. The idea of buying the smart TV was that we wouldn't have to have those other devices anymore, but obviously we were wrong.

They sell them. My Mom and Dad have the same tv as you and I had them purchase a couple ROKU. Yeah, they were bummed as you are, but it can be done.
