ESPN GamePlan Update

Were you able to order just the one day, or did you have to order the $77 plan? I was just told it was all or nothing on DISH.

Yeah I got told that same story when I ordered it last (for the App State game I think) but if you either just push it with the person you are speaking to or else hang up and call back, eventually you will be able to order it for just the one day.

Ok, so Montana v. CCU is on Optimum/Charter 422.

I am going to set it up to DVR to watch it when I am thawed out at home.

I am wondering what channel the EWU v. SDSU game is on? I believe I get all the games for the day if I am reading all the posts correctly. So it would be nice to record that channel also an watch both with a warm drink (after I am home from Washington-Grizzly).

16,037 for ticket sales is pathetic.....The Pride and Tradition of the Montana Grizzlies will not be entrusted to the TIMID or the WEAK...sounds like there might be several thousand who need to revisit their commitment to the Griz! If you are stopped by a white out blizzard that is understandable but otherwise...be there!

Direct TV just quoted me $75.
That's BS -- and the DirecTV person you spoke to is an idiot (mis-informed?).

Since we are safely signed up for Gameplan on DirecTV for the season, I called the rep and asked about the rate for the weekend. (You -- "Big Hole" -- are now a "friend who called in." :D ) He said the rate was, indeed, $25 (okay, $24.99).

The confusion probably arises from the fact that they want you to specify the game you want to watch when you're ready to sign up. They then log you in and -- I suppose because it costs more to restrict access game-by-game -- you are good for the whole day's worth of Gameplan access.

I'm betting that you mentioned three games you really wanted to see -- the Griz, EWU, and NDSU (would be my guess). The dodo on the other end interpreted his/her script as meaning $25 per game. But that is not how it works. We ran into this back when we were doing the weekend buy ourselves, so we know whereof we speak. ;)
Why they ask for a specific game, is a mystery to me, but that's what they do. Bottom line: Ask just for the Griz game, and watch everything you want on Saturday.

Not HD? Seriously? They should pay us

I know some don't have access to ESPN3, but I am going to stream the games through my kid's XBOX. The picture was somewhere between SD and HD for all of last weekends games.

Well worth the $24.99 for 3 month subscription.

Lastly, your internet provider must offer ESPN3 to get it to work.

on roku with watchespn app all the games are on for free.
PST:
griz at 11am
nd at 12:30
ew at 1pm
college scoreboard at 4pm
go griz.....yep

Many thanks IdaGriz01. I just placed my order with DirecTV for 24.99.
You are sooo welcome. Now we just hope they haven't changed the way the system works since we did the weekend buy.
(But I'm not too worried. :) )

It's a joke, howdy. Of course all ESPN televised events are HD. Hell, I think even the shitty MTN sports had their games in HD this year (I could be wrong, but I can't remember)

Google it the ESPN gameplan is not broadcasted in HD it will be HD thru ESPN3 but the gameplan is streamed in only SD. This is the main reason I canceled it before this year as I had had it for the last 6 or so years.

Have no f*in' what plan they (ESPN) has, but some Gameplan broadcasts come through fine, and others are, indeed, total crap. Since our ISP is not on the "approved" ESPN3 list, we take what we can get. :(
