ESPN Conference Rankings

As stated on ESPN.com regarding the 32 conferences in college basketball. They ranked each conference 1-32. Here's what they said about the BIG SKY.

"26. Big Sky: With Damian Lillard now running the show at point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers, beyond an always-quality Montana program there is little to keep your interest out in the Big Sky this season".

The Big Sky has not earned the respect nationwide. Until one or two teams advance in the Tourney and NIT, nothing will change.

This is nothing new. The Big Sky is a 1-team NCAA-tourney conference near the bottom year-in year-out since Boise, Idaho and Nevada left. Producing legit NBA-ers Stuckey & Lillard lately has gotten us some respect and scouts know that the occasional stud does come through these parts. Cherry will get a lot of looks, don't worry.

B-ball is where all this league-expansion is a huge negative IMO. Instead of having a 1/9 chance of going to the dance,we now have a 1/13 chance. I don't see why 1-bid, insignificant conferences want to expand to this level. NCAA tourney appearances will be much rarer.
