ESPN at it again...

Time again for Griz fans to step up to the plate and lead the way against this total disrespect of FCS by ESPN. Get on Facebook and like the page above and share it. Send some emails, tweets, or whatever to anyone one in any FCS university who can help out. Send some emails/texts to ESPN, our Senators and Representative. One day ESPN just might figure out there is more to "college football" than FBS...

In the West for example, our rural nature dictates that a large number of Griz/Cat fans cannot access ESPN3 online because their ISP doesn't carry it. We went through this two years ago. It is time for this crap to end. NDSU has supported our grassroots effort to get ESPN to allow local/regional stations to carry the first two rounds of playoffs. By NCAA rules ESPN has TV rights but if they do not choose to exercise those rights then local/regional can broadcast those games. And, by the way, ESPN3 is not TV but is internet streaming video and does not qualify under the NCAA broadcast guidelines... different set of rules altogether.... Come on eGrizers... time to step up to the plate...

They need to get this petition on Change.org so those of us who do not like Facebook can sign it.

It is online here : http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/petition-for-espn-to-air-2013-fcs-football" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The facebook event like was done 2 years ago is here : https://www.facebook.com/events/1479409388951063/?source=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm not sure insulting Espn is the best way to get the support. Espn does a lot for the fcs that we never got to have. A lot of pub in the playoffs that never existed, some very cool games we never would have gotten to play.I want these games televised but Espn does seem to support the fcs and insulting them by the e$pn thing is rude. Not to mention what they are trying to do with the ndsu,um future games. They even took gameday to ndsu... I thanked Espn in an email for the support of fcs football but I requested that we were able to broadcast our games not on a major Espn network by our local affiliate. As unfortunatly not everyone in Montana can get Espn 3 and its one of the most important events to our state.

ESPN Customer Care <[email protected]>

11:59 AM (1 hour ago)

to me
Thank you for contacting ESPN Customer Care. We will respond to your email promptly. If your issue requires immediate attention, please contact us at 888-549-3776. We are open 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. ET, seven days a week.

Responses may be delayed during during popular live events, here are some troubleshooting steps and FAQs for the WatchESPN product.

At this time, WatchESPN is only available to you if you are an ESPN TV subscriber of Cox, Charter, Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Comcast XFINITY, Verizon FiOS, Optimum, Google Fiber, Midcontinent Communications or AT&T Uverse.

Online registration through your TV service provider is required in order to access content on WatchESPN.

Non-participating TV provider customers have access to ESPN3 programming at WatchESPN.com on a PC or Mac, as long as they subscribe to a participating high speed internet service provider.

To view a list of participating TV/Video or Internet Service Providers, please visit this FAQ:
http://espn.go.com/watchespn/faq#faq2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you have successfully registered, and are still having problems accessing video on WatchESPN.com, please see the troubleshooting steps below:

1. WatchESPN requires Flash Player 10.3 or higher. We recommend version 11+ for the best viewing experience. Free upgrades are available from Adobe: http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
2. Refresh your current internet browser.
3. Close your current internet browser and launch a new one.
4. Clear your internet browser's cookies, close all browsers, then try launching WatchESPN.com again. Warning: Any account passwords that are currently stored in your browser memory may be lost.
5. Try using an alternate web browser. WatchESPN should be compatible with IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
6. Set your internet browser's security settings to Medium or Low and try launching again.
7. Your computer's pop-up blocker may be preventing the window from launching. To allow pop-ups on a one-time basis, hold down the Ctrl (control) button when attempting to launch the player. If this doesn't work, consult instructions for the pop-up blocker you have installed.
8. Close any unnecessary browsers or applications. This will also improve the video quality once the player launches.

We now offer a computer and browser troubleshooting tool. To view your computer/browser/device settings, please paste this URL in your browser address bar.
http://is.gd/espntest" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Customer Care will also have the ability to view these results once you've accessed the page and provided us with the IP address for your device. We will not install anything on your machine and this data is used for troubleshooting purposes only.

If you subscribe to a participating high speed internet service provider and are experiencing problems accessing an ESPN3 event, please make sure the event you are accessing is listed as an ESPN3 event. If the event is playing on one of our linear channels such as ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU, you will not have access to the event without a participating video provider.

For live assistance with this or any other issue, please call Customer Care at 1-888-549-3776 (ESPN) between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. EST.

Thank You,
ESPN Customer Care

You might want to check again....
Can't here in Missoula on Charter...

Live in Great Falls. Per Charter/Optimum here, you are to plug the ethernet from router directly into device you are going to watch the game on. Not convenient but may be an option for those not able to watch using another option.

Here's some information for people who would like to watch the ESPN3 games on their big TV from their laptops/tablets and such.

You just need what they call a "Gold" xbox live "membership". If you can play the online multiplayer games you should already have this. Then to go to the applications (can be found at home screen of xbox) search/browse the apps and ESPN should be one of them. Download it (I think you need email and password attached to xbox) and once ESPN is downloaded you can go the app and search available games. Pretty easy if you already have xbox live membership. You can purchase this online or go to gamestop to obtain the membership (if you don't like having credit card info online) and paypal via xbox is available as well. Can buy a 1 or 3 month membership or 1 year. Per gamestop the 3 month is on sale for 14.99 right now. I figured it out and I don't play xbox so you should be able to do it relatively easily and can then watch on TV which is nice. Any questions let me know I might be able to help you.

Wait, so this works independently of my ISP/cable? If so, that will make my day!! Our kids have an xbox and a gold live membership....got my kid checking it out now to see if it will work.

Checked it out with the xbox and it still doesn't work for us because we don't have a listed provider. Guess it's old school for me and listening to the radio feed.
