I have watched part or all of most of their games
I would say 50/50 run/pass
They have a really good OL, and a good QB that is mobile if needed, but he will try to throw first.

Totally. I think they will go with a balanced attack and try to establish the run to open up the passing game. We will see if they can protect the QB to give him enough time to make the correct reads, and if the WRs can make the catches when needed. The OL likes to get low and isn't afraid to get ugly up front. They will try to limit turnovers and play well on special teams to catch UM off guard. I suspect they will also wear shoulder pads.

Don't want to sound cocky here, but I think if the Griz can stop them from doing those things (especially the shoulder pads one) they have a good chance of getting out of there with a victory.

I'm not so sure. I think the Griz need to minimize mistakes on both sides of the ball and execute well to get the win here. The Griz will need to employ tackling and blocking schemes to make tackles and blocks which have been major sticking points with this staff for me to this point. I hope the staff has progressed to instruct players to block the other team when we have the ball, and tackle the ball carrier on defense. I also hope the staff has done its work in the bye week to let the players know to avoid 3rd and long situations and turnovers on offense. Really, though, the Griz just need to execute and make sure not to have any empty trips to the red zone while limiting offensive production for WSU.

So I got to know, shoulder pads or no?

I don't have a crystal ball, but I believe shoulder pads will be involved.

NFL caliber Tight End. Very good running team. Passing game is vertical. Lots of speed on the outside and they take multiple home run shots a game.

Doesn't sound like a good matchup for a defense that could be without multiple starters in secondary on a team that has been torched by big plays

Why would the Griz be without multiple starters in the secondary. Is Sandry's injury getting worse?

Oops. Sanders was not at the party.

Gonna take some adjustments defensively....unfortunately when we see ANYTHING that we haven’t been preparing for months in advance this defense tends to fall apart.

I don’t like our chances...but I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

Perhaps, but Epperly has played a lot and appears to be a smart player. I think he will rise to the occasion. But depth will be down again, and I assume that nickel and dime packages will have to change a bit.

Sometimes a good defense is a good offense. Not to mention improved special teams play. The offense needs execute, move the chains, and score in the red zone. Special teams need to win the field position game. Let’s not put this weekend solely on the defense. The defense has the talent, speed, and braun to be successful but can Semore put together a game plan for weber to hold them in check.
I think so.....

Go Griz!

I didn't know anybody thought Markell Sanders was at the party. I was thinking that somebody had heard that Josh Sandry's season long injured ankle had gotten worse.
