Logical. Got a plan?

This is not about football. This is an institutional crisis at an esteemed university.
The issues that will catch the Regents' attention are declining enrollment AND DECLINING CONTRIBUTIONS. I for one will not continue my planned contributions to the University until there is a change in leadership at the top.
The University of Montana deserves better!

Engstrom is not going anywhere. I think it's time to move on and try to find some positive things to say about the university, in spite of Engstrom.
I respect your trying to stay positive AWF, but Engstrom is still going to be in place at the top of the heap. Cancer does not cure itself - it spreads. I believe this is just the start of many future missteps. How long does the BOR let this go. How far does the U of M have to fall before they recognize there is a problem. You can stick your head in the sand, the problem is still there. Sports programs are one thing - enrollment and decreasing contributions are even bigger problems.AllWeatherFan said:I'm no Engstrom apologist, but ironically, I think all the negativity about Engstrom reflects poorly on UM, and that in turn reflects badly on UM athletics. only the tip of the iceberg, currently significant cuts to ALL departments (just ask anyone who works there about their dept.) drop in enrollment reduces income and it spirals down even further....things not good over there, weak leadership and low state support means low morale.trouthunter said:I saw that UM made US News & World Report's Top 15 list of Most Underperforming Universities for 2012.

Exactly F11, exactly. Unfortunately this is something corporations and institutions simply neglect to take note of these days - morale. Poor morale equates to poor performance. Sports exemplifies this.
