Embarrasing that UM/MSU game is not on TV

This is a Big Sky playoff game between the two biggest rivals in the Big Sky Conference and there is no TV. Not even an Omega broadcast.

I am very dissapointed!!!!!

We can't televise this game but seem to have no trouble in broadcasting UM football versus some chump DII team.

Pathetic

BTW, I will be at the game tonight, who is going to be there, checking in from my hotel room.

I fully agree with you, 2 Black Nines. Don't get me all revved up again about how much of a bias there is towards the football program here in Missoula. I might have to go on my satirical football boycott again.

Check out the stats I posted earlier:

Scroll down a little ways to my post, but check out the percentage of fans that attend both football and basketball games.

We'll have Fort Lewis State or whatever on TV next year probably for Football, but we don't have the Griz vs Cat basketball game in the Big Sky Tournament on TV. Yeah...that makes sense....

Does anyone know why Omega didn't run any Griz BB games this year? The past couple years they at least had a couple Griz games aired on Omega...I wonder why they didn't have anything like that this year. I've pretty much lost all faith in KPAX or KECI ever airing any games other than the Griz/Cat regular season games..

Of course I'm sure if you asked any of the people at KPAX or KECI they'd probably use the excuse that the Basketball team doesn't have a very big following right now. I wonder if they ever considered that maybe they are part of the problem that the Basketball team doesn't have a very big following out here... If they at least aired the road games on TV, maybe people would start to pay attention. It sure would be a hell of a lot better than the crap they have scheduled in that time slot usually.

People would be more willing to follow the Griz I think if they could actually watch them on TV rather than just listen to it on the radio. They'd also probably be more interested in Griz basketball if the TV channels out here did a little more to cover it in the sports section of the 10pm news. If I remember right there has been at least one game this year where one of the channels didn't even mention that there was a game the next day...that's pretty pathetic.

My best guess for no Omega games is because Montana did a deal with Altitude for the two games they had on their station.
