Ellis Henderson...All.American?!!!

I was just thinking the other day, I'm not sure EH will get First Team All-Conference honestly, though he is already deserving of it. Kupp is a lock, Bleskin will get a nod as well. That leaves EH, Hardin, Shaq Hill and ISU's Luke Austin all up for the last spot. You never know how the coaches will vote on that one.

Someone had mentioned and now that I think about it. He really does have that Mariani look. Smooth and what appears to be effortless. With his hands and his feet. Fun to watch.

He was simply RIDICULOUS today. He has a chance to be both the offensive and special teams POW. And deservedly so.

He was awesome that's for sure! So glad he's only a sophomore.

I'm guessing Adams will get the offensive POW though. His performance against the Cats was pretty damn amazing too. Henderson should be a lock for special teams POW though.

And the MONSTER block he threw tossing TWO guys outta the way!! I'm really starting to like this guy!!

He just dominates at this position. As stated in this thread, he is a complete player. Glad he is on our team. Can you imagine his numbers playing against our defense

Here are some astounding stats for EH this season:

1. 878 yards on only 34 receptions = 25.8 yards per reception (easily the highest average in the FCS this season -- just a shade under three yards per reception higher than the next highest).

2. 14 TDs on only 34 receptions means that he's averaging better than 2 TDs on every 5 receptions (easily the highest average in the FCS this season -- half again better than any other receiver in FCS).

3. He's tied for the second highest number of receiving touchdowns in the FCS this season (with Cooper Kupp, interestingly), and he's only three TDs behind the leader despite having only 35% as many receptions as the leader (34 for EH, 97 for Lora of Eastern Illinois).

So, yes, All-American is not out of the question. He probably needs to get to 1000 yards for the season, though, I'm guessing -- kind of a threshhold hurdle so he gets lumped in with the best (although the other numbers above should automatically put him there if the people choosing the teams are serious about it at all).

Holy shit. When you throw out those numbers that is just plain ridiculous. Forget All American, throw Ellis Henderson's name on the Payton Award watch list. Thanks for the stats Crunch, really puts his dominance into perspective.

Plus 652 return yards!

1530 all purpose yards!

If he stays healthy the next couple years there will be a path worn down by NFL scouts. The way he is playing right now he could even be a top NFL draft in a few years, sure hope he does not go early.

What's amazing is he is ONLY a sophomore and putting up these numbers! He's gonna be great the next few years, and we are extremely lucky to have this guy! :thumb:

It looked like he was playing against a Jr. High team... Thank God he's on our side... As an added bonus, other potential transfers with his talent (If that exists) will probably be tuned in to the Griz games... Hopefully they will want to experience WA GRIZ :thumb:
