Reminds me of that great decision by Sam Riddle declaring himself eligible for the NBA draft. Ellis is a talented player and I wish him the best, but my guess is he's going to have a rude awakening.
Trust me, he won't be awake for that either.........

The posts from this thread continue to demonstrate that the majority of people in this world do not understand mental health issues and the chronic nature of disease associated with mental health.
Good luck Ellis. You played hard, certainly earned every dollar of your scholarship, made Griz fans proud and hopefully you will persevere through the tough times life throws at you.
I understand it just fine, if we were elk or buffalo he would be one of the first ones killed by wolves.

It's nature NOT to nurture. You guys keep making excuses for the "ill"........

Thank you Ellis, for everything you've given to the Univ of Montana! You are an extremely talented football player, with a bright future. You were my favorite player. Griz Nation wishes you nothing but the BEST! Thank you again :!:

Once again.....your post demonstrates that you don't know anything about the situation or the process...
Let's be blunt.

This is part of a larger picture, an ongoing "process."

The "process" is that key talent is leaving this team, coaches, players ... a year ago, if someone pointed to real "talent" and potential talent at UM they would include Gregorak, Legi, Pflug, Hendo ...

Once again....this has nothing to do with the post....

Very true, talent and Gregorek should never be mentioned in the same sentence unless you are stating that "Gregorek doesnt know how to coach talent" then and only then is it acceptable.

There's a lot to this story that hasn't been reported. If you do some asking around the athletic department and some searching through the NCAA's medical hardship waiver regulations, you'll find a story that seriously refutes what was reported in August. It'll also add a lot of strength to Alpha's claim that the school bent over backward for Hendo

Coaches leaving, players leaving, coaching staff in flux. QB question, DC question, administration sucks, enrollment dropping. Other than that it's all good.

Not sure the coaching/player developments outside of where TG ended up have surprised many.....

Yet somehow this dumpster fire continues to beat the crap out of the cats year in and year out. Go figure....

Sounds like you are describing every other college football team. If you want this team to fail just take Gregorak's lead and join Bozeman.

And we beat the fuck out of MSU every year! Always great to be a Griz fan. I cannot imagine how awful it is to be a Cat fan. Ugh.

Well stated Copper Griz. This whole thread shows how little we understand about mental illness and the issues of treating and proper diagnosis of the different diseases that fall under the umbrella of mental illness. At this point it's for the best Ellis is in a place that he feels happy and can work on getting things in order. It should also force us to look into ways of helping people with mental illness and make sure the support is there.

griz02 you get it,,,,,also for those that are so callous regarding this subject need to be educated,,,and yes the u of Montana should have done everything possible to help this young man....after all he gave his all when he was representing the griz on the field.....geez......
