Former CPSLO and SUU HC, Rich Ellerson, was not able to turn the Army program around in 5 years. You need a little more than a triple option attack; a little defense goes a long way. No Desert Storm at West Point. He's 60; maybe he'll be poking around the BSC again. Several programs need help.

What does turn it around even mean for a service academy team? How long has it been since an Army coach left for a better job?

Paul Johnson moved on to Georgia Tech. That's a rare move forward.

Paul Johnson was Navy's coach, not Army. Navy has essentially owned the other two academies for years now.

Yes. Johnson was the coach at Navy, a service academy.
