eligibility clarification

Had a discussion with a couple buddies at the bar last night and they seem to think a spring schedule would count against the players eligibility. I thought it was a "do over" year and does not count. Anyone confirm?

All rostered players have a free year for the spring. It does not hurt their eligibility. So each and every one of them can come back and play again in the fall. Hauck has stated a couple of times now that the majority of the team is staying together, which is pretty cool.

With that said, however, the issue of having enough scholarships for all these kids to come back is going to get real interesting. I’m not sure financially how we can even swing it.

I doubt we will go beyond 63 for financial reasons. The number of incoming Frosh schollies is controllable and will likely have to be smaller to accommodate carry-over seniors. The ability to split schollies and our normal creativity will keep us in good shape.
