There is really no question.
MSU 5 games
212 rush attempts
1612 yards
7.6 ypc
20 Rushing TD
322 ypg #1 in the FCS

UM 6 games
257 rush attempts
962 yards
3.74 ypc
13 rushing TD
160 ypg #40 in the FCS

Well, that settles it. I guess Gillman isn't actually fast.

I was thinking the same thing how the fuck did this topic get so annihilated by such idiots in this thread oh that’s because big sky made a post. Imagine that.

It comes down to fear. The bubs are not liking what they see with the GRIZ, but if they convince themselves over and over and over again by posting over and over and over again on their rival's site that the GRIZ suck, it allows them to sleep at night.

Same reason the bub assistants drink a gallon of vod each evening. Gotta do something to take your mind of the GRIZ.

Don't take the bait. How fast is Eli? Any 40 times out there?

Wow, this got so blown up out of proportion it is silly. If you look back at my comments, the point that I made is that Gilman would probably have more yds if you guys had the Cats OL. Let’s face it, the Griz OL has not been good. I like Gilman. He is fast. Glad that he is happy being a Griz. I made the statement that he must feel a little frustrated. Any good RB would probably feel that way if running behind an underperforming OL. Yes, I think any team would love to have him. He is a talent. Am I jealous because he is not a Cat? No. The Cats are fine at RB. If the Griz OL gets its act together, watch out for Gilman.

33, not criticizing you at all. Appreciate you actually. Just saying if you don't like what's posted you don't have to get your panties in a wad. I'm not good at following my own advice though! So may threads over here get derailed by trivial bs. It's like trying to turn away from a train wreck. Still no answer on how fast Mr. Gilman is. Hope he runs for 500 yards Saturday though.

But then after you posted that gem, you or one of your fellow ‘Scat fans double down on the stupidity by saying “he wouldn’t have as many yards in the Scats offense because of your “deep stable of RB’s.” So which is it? Would he have more? Or less?

I was talking in general that if the Griz had the Cats OL he would have more yds vs running behind the Griz OL at this point in the season.

Which was relevant to the topic, how? You might’ve just as well said, “Yeah, he’s fast, but if he was a cheetah running behind hippos on the OL, he’d have more yards.” Same level of relevance.

That makes zero sense. Only hippos run behind hippos. Does ANYONE know his 40 time?

It makes perfect sense. Use your head. Think.

I love how Cat fans consistently derail threads and then complain about threads constantly getting derailed. Zero self-awareness.

40 times coming out of high school are iffy to say the least. Hand held times by their own coaches. Some might get times at camps which also can be a little iffy.

If he’s worth anything (would probably RB 6 at MSU, which is pretty good) he should transfer before wasting a career behind UM’s o-line.

Really, its better to have good stats as a RB because of a great oline, than to have great stats in spite of the oline. So this is the type of logic taught at MsDui? Good to know.

You've obviously never participated in the running of the hippos.

Correct. I have never participated in a charity 5k in the Upper Midwest.

I found myself in this very adverse situation at the Natty a couple years ago. Bartender announced $5 pitchers. Hippos from NDSU locked arms & waddled ahead of me, blocking the bar and sun at the same time. The stench sent me on an end around to the far end of the bar where I was greeted by a vision of beauty who took my Bobcat hat in exchange for 6 pitchers. Should have held out for eight as the hippos never waddled back from the bar.

I would say most RBs that run behind a bad OL don’t have good stats. Will be interesting to see where Gilman ends up this season.

Amen. I think I’d take 20.8 mph running away from defenders in an actual college game to measure the speed of a player over the stopwatch of an assistant coach/geometry teacher. (Nothing against assistant HS coaches or geometry teachers who happen to have stopwatches).
