Eli Gillman is FAST

That’s because the Cats have a crazy deep RB room, and there aren’t enough touches to go around with all our RBs and QB running game. There’s a reason MSU has the nation’s best rushing attack, with a much more difficult schedule than um.

Put down the shovel, bro. Gillman. Ostmo. Harris. Childs. Bergen. McDowell. ALL are splitting touches. It ain’t like Gillman is getting 80% of the workload. He has less than 25% of our total rushing attempts.

Add up the yardage of all the Griz RBs vs all the Cat RBs. The Cats dominate. Add in the QBs and it is even more dominate.

Also, is Eli best in space?

Whoa, there. Not a lot of players have the chops to wear that crown. I will need to see at least one more taken to the house before he can unseat the king of space.

Lol. You just can’t stop, can you? MSU is 2/1 running vs passing. Of course you’re gonna have more rushing yards.

Why? He has more yards than any of your RBs. He has more TDs than any of your RBs.

Sounds like you're just mad we found a RB better than anyone you have. Sour grapes, buddy.

Don't worry, though, it's only natural to get jealous and picture having a RB that good on your team.

Tha Cats have a great stable of RBs plus two excellent running QBs. Therefore each get fewer touches. Is Gilman good? Yes, but no reason to be mad or jealous. The Cats have all they need. Their offense is second in the FCS. The Griz are not even in the top 50.
So then why are you on here acting all mad and jealous?

Not mad, not jealous. I am a happy guy with the stable of Cat RBs and the very good OL.

...who's on his rival's message board openly fantasizing about how much better his team would be with said Griz RB on it.

Sure, man, sure.

No fantasizing necessary. The Cats are doing fine with the RBs they have contributing to having the second best offense in the FCS. They do not need Gilman. My point was that Gilman would have more yds running behind the Cats OL than he has now with the Griz OL. My take is that the Griz OL is a huge contributor to the Griz offense not even being in the top 50 of the FCS.

So, I have a question: Why would you take a thread about a Griz RB being fast and try to make it about how the fu*king Bobcat OL is so great? Do me a favor, go back through the thread and give an honest answer. What's your goal in doing that?

I'm not saying this is like you, but it truly reminds me of a girl on the women's version of the sport I played in college. Whenever one of the guys said anything positive about another women's player, this chick would butt in to try to compare, saying she was better, etc. 100% of the time. Finally, one of the dudes (not saying who) said, "[Redacted], we're not fu*king talking about you!" Well, she cried, and I--er--the dude got in trouble.

So you've said in this thread that your RBs don't get yards because they have to share the load to explain why Gillman has more yards and TDs than anyone you have, but now you're saying Gillman would have more yards in your offense than in ours? Even with the same sharing problem? Sounds like he's just better than anyone you have.

It's fine man, jealousy is only an ugly look if you let it make you bitter.

There is really no question.
MSU 5 games
212 rush attempts
1612 yards
7.6 ypc
20 Rushing TD
322 ypg #1 in the FCS

UM 6 games
257 rush attempts
962 yards
3.74 ypc
13 rushing TD
160 ypg #40 in the FCS

Well, that settles it. I guess Gillman isn't actually fast.

I'm just SHOCKED, SHOCKED I tell you, that a team that runs the ball 85% of the time would have more rushing yards than a team that runs it less than 60% of the time. Why, I'll never understand it.

Maybe next we could compare returners in a thread talking about Gillman's speed?

I get your point but MSU and UM are relatively close in these regards. We run the ball 68% of the time and pass 32% of the time. The Griz run 62% of the time and pass the other 38%.

And yes, Gillman is really fast! :thumb:

Oh what it must be like to have a coaching staff that can recruit and develop offensive linemen.....

It would probably be like this:

Griz Fan: Gillman is FAST!

Bobfans: Sure, but we have the best punt coverage in FCS. Our long-snapper is so much better than yours. We have a stable of gunners. Check out these stats. And have you seen our goat-roping team? And, and, and, Game Day and enrollment stats. We're totally not insecure, but we just want to add to the discussion about Gillman's speed here on eGriz by pointing out that once the Northeast bleachers get replaced, Gillman will probably wish he was a Bobcat.
