Absolutely! I don't know who decides the Payton award but it's pure idiocy that he wasn't on the list.

"It really only crossed my mind the way people were talking about it," Gillman said on potentially transferring. "But it was never a plan I had in mind, it was never a decision I wanted to make because Missoula has been nothing but great to me and I don't see why I'd leave a place like this."

After next year, there will be no doubt that he is the greatest RB Montana has ever had. He will shatter records and will be playing on Sundays in 2 years
 
Gillman was without a doubt the offensive MVP of the BSC. He's probably the best RB in griz history with only Hilliard in the same discussion. I do think it's going to be hard for him to turn down a huge NIL deal from the P4 next year. He's going to almost certainly be playing on Sundays.

Yes, he will play on Sundays. He doesn’t need FBS to get there. Eddie George told him to stay at UM and save on wear and tear on his body. I suppose the NIL or even the challenge may be a draw. And some schools are willing to offer Monte. But would he play at those schools? It will be interesting. He will have many opportunities and decisions. I think he and his parents have good heads on their shoulders.
