IMHO... I think it's time to reward the responsible student athletes and move on Wayne.

You make a good point, however, Tinks is in a bit of a Catch-22. There is precedent on how DUI's have been handled within FB and LG Basketball. If CET is released, don't be shocked if someone plays the race card. Not saying CET would, but come on people, you know how it works.

If a precedent was set by Lady Griz Basketball, then CET would have been suspended for just two games and he should be back now. Of course, two of the games he missed may have been for the DUI and the others for having him concentrate just on completing the course he took and incomplete. If that is the case, he will be back soon.

The cases are not the same, but his other transgression didn't end up with any type of charges, but still an issue for Tinks. My point is, whether right or wrong, if Tinks gave him the boot, someone would play the race card. I don't think anyone is so naive not to realize that.

I hear you GB on potential flak. I'd just like to see Tinkle take a strong proactive position in support of the rest of his team. They are the ones that bust their tail in class, in practice and sacrifice a normal college social life in order to play by the rules.
Just do what's right Wayne and the fans will back you and my guess is you will have a stronger more cohesive team in the end.

The partner-assault story was on the news last night. Apparently it happened 2 weeks ago. I hope this and the grade situation is not as serious as it sounds, but I am not optimistic.

If that is the case I think CET is as good as gone.

If its 1 or all 3 of the rumored issues he should be gone or they should get rid of him.

IF it was only a DUI, then there is not a chance in hell he would be gone. Brittany Lohman ring a bell?

Tinks already said the consequence for the original infraction (the DUI) has been served. Thus, the DUI issue, on it's own is not the current problem. One thing for sure, this needs to be resolved, one way or the other and soon. The Griz do not need the CET issue, along with their recent blow out losses to follow them into the cat game.

Jeff Fischer said in a recent article that the number reason why teams lose is because of distractions, looks like he is one.

The lady griz program unlike the men's program has had more than 1 DUI issue in the last 2-4 years so a zero tolerance stance needs to be taken by the men's program.

CET was shown back practicing with the team on either KPAX or KECI sports last night. They also said no determination had been made regarding whether he would play Saturday night. :?

I think that is being decided right now. It isn't going to be soley Tinks decision I don't believe, which may not bode well for CET.

Then who else is apart of the decesion and what exactly is he being disciplined or been disciplined for?

Tinkle, O'Day, and Dennison.

Listen if Elgin-Taylor is not eligible it will not be because, of a single DUI or other event. Rumors have been swirling around E-T since last December. Never really big things, but the sum of the total might do him in if any are true.

Even in baseball, 3 strikes and you're out. If we ever let CET play again, I will walk off the court and never work another Griz B-ball game again. I have had it with allowing athletes to get away with murder. I have worked every Griz bball game for the last 18 years, but this is my last stand.
