Egriz needs an overhaul

While it is hard to argue with the popularity of egriz both during and after a football season. There are too many disputes, too many posts regarding the weather, and not enough "hotties" threads during the season. There is a lot of talent out there and a lot of heart, but the lack of good coaching is paralyzing many posters. We should be talking about football, instead we are left to argue about nothing until the start of spring practice. Why can't we be more like NDSU's site and talk about football and the games played.

BWhalberg: Way way too many actual facts and information. You are scouting our team better than the actual scouts of the teams we are set to play.

PlayerRep: The man literally is the protector of all grizzly. He has inside information on every player, coach, referee, poster......and the moderators. He will literally fight to the death to support this program despite any facts to the contrary. I think he believes the Griz have never actually lost a game.

ALPHAGRIZ1: His posts are usually 5 steps ahead of every other egrizzer, which leaves most posters being trapped like a fly in a web over and over again. Any one signing up for egriz or viewing the site should be required to attend a class taught by AG1.

This site needs a National Championship more than ever. Because whether there is a game today or not, someone will be on this site everyday arguing about something. ;)

Good intentions and most of us appreciate the info but it can be a bit mind boggling. Statistics this and that. I personally try not to overthink things too much. In the end more points win.

Funny, what gave you that impression? He has a very short term memory, when we loose he forgets before he gets out of the stadium. From another recent thread....

^^^ That. I think in 2014 we have more talent on the field than we do directing on the sideline. I don't care what playerrep says. We will not win a NC under the coaching staff (as a package) that is in place today. No matter who the players are.

Don't get me wrong. I'm "fine" with this year and I'm sure I'll be "fine" with ending in about the same spot next season. Not to be an overbearing parent but I just have a funny feeling we can do better with the kids we have.

PlayerRep wrote....Can you stop putting BS in posts about me? I've never said anything in recent years about winning a NC, let alone with any particular coaches.

Not taking sides but just curios. Who here thinks we could win a national championship under the exact staff we have now? Something to ponder......

PlayerRep wrote....I do. Almost no one wins a national championship, but these coaches could.

Carry on Mr Short term memory

Possibly this site should incorporate a handicap system or delay A1s posts for 30 minutes. Kinda like a penalty for knowing it all.

I've decided that my time as moderator needs to come to an end. My disagreements with the coaching staff, posters, site administrators, other moderators, BWahlberg's dog, SuperHornet, Green26, Wolfman/SeattleGrizFan/Growler1/AzGriz/Willie have worn on me these last few years. I will henceforth participate in this overhaul of eGriz.com and all of its subsidiaries. However, my retirement from eGriz will be effective from this very moment until 1:30am 12.15.13, as that's when Buffalo Wild Wings will be kicking PolsonGrizz and I out of the bar. Sorry for any heartache this might cause, and the short notice of this retirement, but this is what's best for me and my family (umm.. actually, it's just me, sooo...). I will continue to be a Griz fan (and still hate most all Eastern fans as well as the one Weber State fan, as well as the Bison fan who posts as a Bobcat), and support this university as best I can. I give you all my well wishes, and hope for the best. Go Griz!

No Moderator!!!!! That means NOW there will likely be threads that run 17 pages long with insults firing back and forth between posters.

Any entity can benefit from periodic self-reflection, analysis of what they've done right and perhaps what they could do better, and what could be done to make the entity better serve their "members." If eGriz needs an overhaul, I disagree with you, Gametime, on what could be improved. For example, if you don't like the stats that I love seeing from Brint, don't read em.
