D got gassed in the 4th quarter. O could not stay on the field. Wasn't for a lack of effort. Just poor execution and overmatched. Davis made some great adjustments. Is the better team.

Hadn't heard that. That sucks. We use to go to your neck of the woods to phesant hunt and would always make a stop there for a burger and a beer. Also heard the Lighthouse is closing...

Relax; we essentially cut our freshman all american QB, our best pass rushing DE and lost our starting left tackle to a concussion. We've cobbled together an oline that has a kid at guard who's been a LB, DE, DT and now a G. We seem to be a combination of over-coached and under prepared but that may be personal. Our D line starts a guy who was recruited at WR, a converted TE and the tallest NT in all of college FB (I think). Our CB are both WR's. Our safeties have to cover for 15 seconds at a time, our kicker doesn't have 40 yard range so he over kicks everything. It's a work in progress. (Oh yeah, and we fired our last coach because the boosters didn't like his green hat).

He quit cause he wouldn't play for a prick.

Some of these posters are crazy. Montana played their hearts out in the first half.
Montana got beat to sh*t by a way better team in the second half.
They were deflated when Davis tied it up. But I didn't see any giving up until garbage time.

Those kids put their hearts and health on the line every Saturday. Show some class.
I'm a Davis fan, but I'll stick up for your players on this one.
I'd like to see some of these posters go down on that field and get knocked into 2024.

I think you are missing the point. QB is in football a very important position. I'm not saying that our current QB isn't good, I'm just saying that the last guy who got handed the job, ended up on a few different All-American freshman lists. That is a pretty good starting point, in terms of taking over a team and developing a system. He might not have fit into the current HC's style, I get that; just saying we essentially cut the guy.

Relax, the kid went looking for a better opportunity, like we all haven't changed jobs. I've got a degree from the U of M Forestry school and I teach high school history/psychology. My point was that when a new manager takes over a company one of his or her priorities should be to see what they are inheriting in terms of strengths and weaknesses. To my way of thinking a freshman QB with All-American mentions would be considered a strength and maybe not something to tinker with, certainly not as glaring a need as OL, DL, DB, etc.

The extra effort by multiple players in the first half was better as a team than any I have seen in watching the Griz for several decades.

Regrettably, it was erased and now going apparently unnoticed because of an equivalent folding in the second half.
