Glad he got us to 4 of them. Better than other coaches have done between his stints.

I can't stand him. I think he's an arrogant, not likeable guy. But Bobby can coach football. It's damn hard to win a natty. This was his best job imo.
Going 0-4 in the NC is a hell of a lot better than missing the playoffs and losing in the 1st and 2nd rounds... Pretty crazy that last time the Griz were in the NC was Bobby's last stint..

Honest reflection. After watching the game I thought the Griz were talented enough to stay with SDSU. However, what unfolded was a loss of discipline on the maroon side of the ball. SDSU never panicked and remained well disciplined. Champions know how to do that.
Next year, this team will perform even better and have the big game awe behind them. Hopefully we have a rematch and can have a better result in the end.

Dean Smith was widely criticized for not being able to win the big one too. In his first 20 years coaching basketball at North Carolina, his teams took first in the conference 9 times, and second place an additional 7 times. They made the NCAA tournament 11 times, were in the Final Four 6 times, and finished as runner up 3 of those. He couldn't win the big one until he did in his 21st season. He was in the Final Four 4 more times and won the title one more time.
