Edit: Bob Stitt will be announced as head coach today

I was told last night that Stitt would be announced today at 1:00pm, but wouldn't be available until Friday for a meet and greet. I've been afraid to post due to all the bad information, but it appears consistent with what Brint is hearing as well.

One minute.....tick.....tick....tick...

This guy is really bringing his strength coach from Colorado School of Mines?

Yikes

This is all very close to what I was told would occur last week - very exciting news!! The one adjustment I would suggest is keeping our current strength coach - he does an amazing job with those young men! Congratulations to all of the coaches on the new staff, it's time to get to work!! :lol: :clap:

Go Griz!
The strength & conditioning coach looks solid ... assuming this is the guy: http://www.csmorediggers.com/sports/fball/coaches/Adam_Long
Nothing spectacular, though, so I'm guessing he and Stitt are sympatico ... and that's not a bad reason. Good athletic creds, so should easily have the players' respect. Notice that he's also the linebackers coach.
He has a master's degree in Health Science... he's probably a pretty sharp guy.
Yeah, that takes a genius.

Good move on keeping Gregorak, Legi and Green.

One must wonder if Stitt chose to keep Gregorak, or if he was told by Haslam that he would keep Gregorak? Either way, a good move.

I would bet it was a condition of the offer.

This is not his current strength coach. Matt Nicholson took over in 2014 and is also a linebacker and strength coach. See http://www.csmorediggers.com/sports/fball/coaches/Nicholson_Matt" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I Was told last night that the presser was at 1:17.

I'm getting info that the bringing up of his strength coach was an assumption but maybe not correct. Due to division 2 coach limitations Stitt's OLB's coach was/is also the strength coach. This could mean Gerbs will maybe still be on staff. I hope so, the players love Gerbs.
