...of the stanford game two years ago. yes, stanford was better, but it was an omen of a great season ahead, and we may look back on this game the same way.

but...exhibit "a" in why teams will not play us in missoula, and why we will not see top-grade competition at home until we move up to a better conference. the rams now have two cracks at us in fort collins to make amends.

question is...how good (or bad) is colorado state? was it truly an aberration, as their coach said, or are the griz that much better than a team with two bona-fide seven-footers, and a recruiting class rated in the top forty in the country?

tomorrow will tell. it always does.

and a final question. how does duke manage to keep donors happy while preserving the sidelines for the students in the only-slightly-larger cameron indoor (capacity 9000?)

Don't know how Duke keeps donors happy in that slightly larger by 1,600 more fans Cameron indoor arena. But, I tell you if Montana had an arena with capacity of 9,000, students would have been at courtside all the time and donors be just as happy.

Once Griz become real successful and a greater power in the region, conference affiliation won't matter. Get to the point where it won't be an embarrassment to lose to Montana in Missoula, that is when the home schedule will improve.
