West QB May not that effective.

Made good decision to throw Jav in college.
Asinine. Try actually following class A sometime Ursus. JFC.
Vim, if we're including Negs (although he wasn't available) would WF lead the Shrine with the most players participating? They had four in Negs, Ross, Founteroy and May.
And yes... Had Negs played, he would've looked just as good if not better than Hadley (still a stud).

He is not a Big 10 caliber quarterback, as he is in track, (not sure is even FCS level)....yet wil competing in track at the highest level in track.....that is a good decision
If all Montana kids are judged as a Big 10 pedigree, we got a long way to go. Kid was recruited hard for FCS, just FYI.
But yet had 2 studs with him on offense and delivered a state title against Dillon on their turf.
Many more with less get a chance.

Luke made the decision to go bigtime track before his senior year even started. He knew exactly where his bread was buttered. He wanted to compete for a big track school, and attend a quality university. A full ride to the University of Minnesota, which is not the only P5 track full ride he had on the table, means a lot to a student-athlete like May. He is putting education wayyyy before sports. I'm always super-impressed by that. And, if he does what the Minnesota coaches think he can do, we may just be seeing Luke in the Tokyo Olympics too.

I watched the Shrine Gasme, most of it on TV. There were a lot of really outstanding football players on the field. It was fun to watch.

I do have a question for Vim, since I wasn't actually in Butte. How were the safety precautions for the players? Were there really good safety procedures in place? Did you see any kid being pressured into doing something he didn't want to do at any time before, during, or after the game? Did you see the kids exhibiting any naive' behaviroes in regards to their own safety for the Shrine Game?

A full ride to any college in track is pretty rare. One to a Big Ten school is extremely impressive.

I only watched it on TV. So I can't really answer that question. Overall, it looked like a pretty clean game.

You obviously have something in mind Hav. Has something been mentioned to you by your brother about some pressure?

In Butte? No way!

It was a clean game. Not very much noise coming from pads or helmets that I could hear (3 rows up.) There weren't any real big hits either. With so many players there moving on to the next level I think the all played a little "safe." Also a lot of the boys just got done being teammates in the badlands bowl.

I have had eggs for breakfast everyday for as long as I can remember, poached. What you call "safe" I call "smart". No one wants scrambled white matter inside their RIDDELL. Player enjoys his coeds over-easy but I always like mine smothered in Hollandaise.
