1. Yeah, it's super early with not a lot of games to compare but ya all might want to screen shot this:
http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_Men.html. Montana at #14 above the likes of Duke (a NC fave this year and beat Kentucky recently 118-84 and has something like the top 3 or 4 recruits in the nation).

2. Georgia State was #12 in the preseason mid-major top 25, while Montana was #16. http://www.collegeinsider.com/mens-mid-major-top-25.php Georgia State was coming off a win over ETSU (#35), so they might not drop much, if any, this next week.

3. Montana's remaining D1 schedule is 9-2 (UIW 2-1, Creighton 1-0, UC Irvine 2-0, NDSU 0-1, Arizona 1-0, SDSU 3-0) right now after UC Irvine picked up a win at Texas A&M the other night (short highlights: http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/recap?gameId=401084854).

Georgia State head coach Ron Hunter on the game:

“I’m obviously disappointed with the loss, but I am proud of how hard our guys played all night,” head coach Ron Hunter said. “We had a lot of guys in foul trouble for most of the evening, but they played smart when I had to put them back in. Montana is a very good team and I would not be surprised to see them playing deep into March.”

Looks like Irvine is going to be a tougher game than I thought.

I thought Georgia State and UC Irvine were the two toughest teams UM plays. Arizona is ok but I saw them play though they have two guard tandem that can shoot the 3. I like this schedule!

Don't forget @Creighton and @South Dakota State (preseason #5), arguably the two toughest games this year. But regardless, I'm loving what looks like multiple chances (and good, winnable ones) at top 100 teams by season's end. Usually, it seems it is rare for the Griz to get even one per season.

And another note about the Creighton game: they play UM Wednesday and play Gonzaga Saturday that week. Hopefully, their focus won't be completely on the Griz.

Bobby Moorhead. WTF? Dude can't hit the broad side of a barn right now. Went O-for-the-field both games and even missed both free throw attempts the other night. It's in his head bigtime.

if Manuel can play any kind of D (and I have to assume he can given the minutes he's getting) he could very quickly take Moorhead's spot permanently.
