Montana is #82 in offensive yards per game and EWU is #88 in yards against per game.

Staggering.

Seriously, those stats are meaningless.

You're right. Playing against UNC, CWU, and South Dakota obviously inflated your offensive stats.

As did playing against UM-Western, UCD and MSU yours....so there.

You sure had to stretch for that MSU one, didn't you

Even you aren't dumb enough to think that MSU is a team you pad your defensive stats with.

Well your Eags sure as fuck didn't!.

Once again, EWU's defensive stats are far less padded than Montana's offensive stats. So I guess EWU's defense has developed far more than Montana's offense.

Funny how Montana celebrates offensive strides against the worst team in the conference, Northern Colorado. Then, put down the achievements of Eastern's defense.

Is it? Is it "funny" that Montana fans would celebrate offensive strides and not show the same enthusiasm for what EWU is calling a defense? EWU having a good defensive game makes most people think, "Well, the other team's offense must have sucked." Which is true in this case. Hell, if the cure for cancer came out of EWU, most people would think, "Well, they must have stolen it." Which would also be true in that case.

 You don't have to celebrate it. You just don't have to take a dump on it. There's gotta be something in the middle, right?

Pee? Dump, pee, and celebrate is all I do.

The only thing I took away from that article was that MT Western was their "18th" sell-out crowd in school history. BWAHAHA. What's funnier: the fact that they played Western or the fact that they are bragging about it? Or the fact that they need temporary bleachers to hold all those wild-west fans?

How about the fact we sold out a game against an NAIA school. Almost 10K fans to watch an NAIA school on Labor Day weekend. Huge strides for a program that had less than 4000 fans at our playoff games in 2010...

Bringing in additional bleachers means more fans, probably close to 11k or 12k for our next four home games. Not near where the Griz are but moving in the right direction...

and Eastern's D is improving. Definitely not the best or even close to the best, but with Easterns offense, we just need to be middle of the pack on D...

+1

I was at that game. It may have been a "sell-out", but there were a ton of empty seats...

I heard the stands were empty after half time, everybody was outside drinking beer. And it was boring, the Eags just mailed it in after the first quarter. Time for a new coaching staff, I'd say.

Pure conjecture, with no basis in fact. Don't make me FACT-splain it to you. 8-)

It should be. They only put up big numbers against shitty defenses like yours and UCAs.

Does that mean what I think it means?

HA! That's awesome!!

Too bad the GRIZ and EWU cannot combine teams. Better yet, can we just have their offensive staff and Cooper Kupp, and keep everything else GRIZ? Adams and JJ could rotate at QB.

Amazing how each team is facing one side of the ball needing a lot of improvement. I do feel our offense is much closer than their defense is. Here is to hoping each team wins out, and improves. It would be great to see a GRIZ/EWU semifinal to determine who plays in the FCS championship. Or better yet, one beat NDSU, and face eachother in the Championship.

You really think Griz fans would be happy with losing in the semis (at home) two years in a row? Hell, we lost two NC games in a row to two very tough teams and people were ready to fire bomb Hauck's house.

The difference is we actually have a defense that would help get us the win! :thumb:

I seriously don't understand hating on EWU. I am not being a smart ass here either. Attended two away games and enjoyed both - their fans were not a holes. I hate the inferno, but I like the fact that we are having smack talk on this board because there is good competition from the west in the BSC. Eastern won a chipper, has won playoff games since then and has gotten the best of the Griz the last few years. I don't hate on their fans or their program for being competitive or successful. Their program has earned the right to talk smack. Unlike those in Bozo. I personally look forward to this years game and hope the Griz kick the hell out of them. No sense debating who's offense or defense is better. We will find out soon enough.

Overall EWU fans are good. They were appreciative of my support when I attended their game against SHSU. Only 1 younger college student that was a total asshole to me. His girlfriend put him in his place though. :thumb:
