Or grow up and quit acting like 2 year olds and thank him for his work in this dark time. I don't agree with much of what happened this year, and thought there were some horrible calls. Many of them remind me of Pflugrads first year. Difference was, Pflu had a more veteran team than this one and actually had an all conference quarterback returning. Consistency and discipline is what we need right now. Lets right the ship and then move on. Another coaching change right now would be catastophic to recruiting and retention.

I am sorry to disagree but Mick Delaney being here another year is what will be the "killer" for recruiting and retention. Hire
the HC now and let him get to work putting this unfortunate situation behind us. The sooner, the better. It makes no sense
to keep Delaney one more year. If the right "guy" is out there, pull the trigger now. Why prolong it?

$$$$$$$

Thank you! Why does nobody else seem to realize that we don't have the money to be paying for coaches left and right. It's not that difficult of a concept to figure out.

Perhaps we can start a fund from alum to buy him out...I would write a check.

If Mick decides on his own to step down ... the $$$$$$ would not be an issue.

There are one of two ways this ought go down (in a perfect world). Either Mick decides soon to step aside so another can begin the transitions needed for seeking their new recruits, implementing new schemes, etc., OR Mick decides he has a passion to remain the HC for as long as he has that ambition and desire to win an NC ... even if it takes him 3 or 4 years. Anything else makes little sense.

He's going to be here another year and needs our support.

He doesn't need a bunch of blowhards emailing him telling him to GTFO.

I don't like him as coach, and I'd rather we had someone else, but no one good is going to come here right now. At least not until the NCAA investigation is finished.

It's okay to be frustrated, but don't be a bunch of douchebags.

Two year contract. IF any of you actually want to do something, e-Mail Mick Delaney, thank him for his efforts, and urge him to retire NOW, for the sake of Grizzly Football.

The problem I see with trying to find a new coach right now is that I think it will be hard to get a good one while we are still under NCAA investigation. If they would wrap up their stupid probe then everybody will know where we stand. Until then, everything is up in the air and a lot of good coaches probably won't deal with the uncertainty.

I thought they were gonna wrap up and decide what penalties if any at the end of this season?

What a bunch of idiots. If they truly had a national search there would be a ton of very qualified individuals that would take this job.

We have a winner, ladies and gentlemen. Nobody is going to take the job under the present circumstances, and the University is not going to pay two head coaches' salaries in 2013.

So, now that we have let that sink in for a few minutes...

Don't pull a chicken-$hit move and e-mail Mick. If you have football wisdom you feel you must share, make an appointment with MD in person. And don't forget to bring your telestrator with you to the appointment, okay Gruden?

Now I am speaking as an outsider here and haven't payed close enough attention to have an intelligent opinion about Delaney as a coach, but emailing him? Now that's just mean! Ranting on a message board is one thing, but emailing the coach and asking him to quit crosses a line. My brother-in-law was DC at App State and I think most fans have absolutely no idea how hard college football coaches work even at the FCS level and for inadequate pay. It's a hard job-- your successes and failures are very public and there are tens of thousands of people who have strong opinions about the job you are doing. Hell, email the AD if you want, but give the coach a break.

If you have to email him try emailing something positive.
Don't worry -- I'm not going to email Mick about anything. But, I am POSITIVE that his resignation would be a good thing for the future of Griz football.

68....Griz football may not have a future as long as Engstrom is in Main Hall. Mick may be the only person under the present circumstances that can hold the program together and I'm not talking about our win-loss record.
