Dylan Cook 👀

right.right.right…

Well-known member
Dylan Cook is quietly positioning himself to be the Steelers starting LT. He’s outplayed Broderick Jones (2023 first round pick) this entire camp. Steelers will give Jones every chance to succeed but that will be Cook’s job at some point.

Cook can play LT, RT, G and is a lock to make the 53.

Not sure why he goes so under the radar with our fan base??

He shouldn't, he's from Butte, America! I believe someone has already mentioned in another thread that he played QB in high school and then went to Northern and when he came to the Griz he became an O-linemen and excelled. When I watched him play for the Griz 4 years ago, he stood out on the field. I'm glad he's excelling in the NFL. Is this another example of the Griz coaches knowing which position the players have the best shot playing at the next level?

3R is, what else, " right : ) !!! " How many other college QB's are in the NFL playing the
O line that isn't a TE ?

Butte is rightfully proud of TM--they should also rightfully be proud of DC and so should we--right now, he is the only GRIZ O lineman in the NFL, though I hope Casey makes the Seahawks or another team !!!

And 10 years from now, we just might see DC back in Missoula, coaching our, his alma mater's O line for another GRIZ great alum, former NFL player, and our new head coach after Bobby retires, Justin Green 💚. Don't laugh--could happen.

( PS: Always check your spell check--my sc just converted " head coach" to " hard coach"--please make up your own jokes 😃 !!! )

Go GRIZ. !!!

Considering I appreciate watching the bigs on both sides of the ball more than the other position groups, it’s been really fun to watch him go from NAIA QB to starting D1 lineman to NFL and grinding out a roster spot as a utility guy. He’s got a beautiful family and my wife and I were fortunate to run into him on their bye week in 2023. Even as a Steeler hater I wish him and that team success because it’s fun watching him work.

Under the radar only because there are no box scores or YouTube highlights of offensive linemen. Not much to discuss other than what’s been said on this thread. He’s a great story, no doubt. Unique for sure.
