Ducks vs Griz

Nice win, Griz!!!

I know the Ducks aren't an Elite 8 team anymore, but that's still a real solid road win.

Way to go, Guys!!

I know Denver was a letdown...

But beating Boise and Oregon early in the season is quite a feet..

Also I believe Loyola Marymount took out USC

These stat keepers are great in Oregon... Oregon misses a 3 pointer, and they put down a missed 3 pointer by Stockton...

Great win by the Griz! I'm pretty surprised honestly, after how the Griz struggled against Denver last week.

AJ hitting free throws is huge. That'll win games. Secondly the emergence of qvale is huge! Aside from the poor first half against Denver, bout as good as start to the year as I would have hoped. PAC ten win is a win.

worth the $10.00 donation to the Knight & Nike fund...take that Ducks,,great job Griz Good D all game. Bring on the Huskies!

WHat a big win... great job by Qvale, AJ, Taylor (welcome back) and Will Cherry gave us the athleticism that we needed at PG to compete at this level.........

one question..... why have Raason Young's min been cut so drastically.... seemingly for no reason??

why have Raason Young's min been cut so drastically.

Tinkle said in the pre-game that Raason may not play a great deal today because they really wanted 3 guards (basically 2 point guards) on the floor a lot of the game against Oregon's pressure.

GREAT D by the team tonight. Too many turnovers, but they made up for it on the D end! I'm really proud of the start

Definitely a big win for the Griz! Oregon wasn't very good last year (8-23) but still, it's a good win against a PAC10 team that typically has been very good, and gets very good recruits. Qvale played a great game again. AJ of course had his typical 20 points with clutch free throw shooting. Cherry and Taylor played very good too. Cherry caused all sorts of troubles for Oregon's offense.

I'm not sure about that either. It sounded like (from what Mick was saying when he was in) Young was playing very good defense and caused at least one turnover by Oregon while in. It's especially confusing when we have other players struggling with their shot too, who continue to get tons of minutes. I see Tinkle wanted to go with 3 guards a lot this game, but as we've seen in previous games, Young is certainly quick enough to guard guards.

Hopefully Young will start to get more minutes again. He's a hell of a defender, a very good rebounder, hustles his ass off, and when he gets going on offense he's very impressive there too. Going into this game he was 10-17 from 3 point range.

Tinks sounded very happy -- but far from satisfied -- on the postgame show. That's PRECISELY how I want him!!
