Dr Wood Talking Shit….again

Regarding Luke Wood's PHD - It is supposedly from Arizona State, but if you search for it, that degree is offered at Arizona State online. I would like evidence he even has a P.H.D.

His academic background and publications are a joke.

Here he is talking more race stuff and says he doesn't know who your coach is:


Says that he thought Monte was a panda and it was an honest mistake.. so why did he correct himself right after in the original interview? Clearly a lie.

Says this game is more than just about football, but is about "culture" - specifically how great DEI is at Sac and then mentions all the races Sac State serves.. (doesn't mention white people for some reason), says Montana is the opposite of Sac (I would take that as a compliment).

What's wild is in the interview above - they blame the huge fight that happened at Sac State on "racial things" the Northern Colorado coach said? Or are they blaming Hauck for "racial undertones?". come on. @ 7:40 in above video..
 
Whoa, I guess I have a horrible radar when it comes to coded speech because my mind certainly didn't go there listening to Hauck's answers. I suppose that's on me. Or, did Hauck say something else that I missed?

I just don't get the point of this chest thumping, especially after such a bizarre and humiliating year.

After that whole fracas in September 2024, the Hornets finished 3-9. The Hornets' biggest rival, UC Davis:

Wood got overly involved in a coaching search that should be run by an athletic director. The guy tweets that he met with Michael Vick to be next head coach, but then shoots down the notion of Vick being the coach at all. Wood then made the announcement himself that UNLV OC Brennan Marion would be the new head coach.

The school also announced a series of concerts following several home games, with acts such as Lil Yachty and Quavo. In basketball, despite playing in an arena smaller than many middle schools called "The Nest," Sacramento State inked a deal with former Sacramento King Mike Bibby to be their basketball coach. Shaquille O'Neal is involved for some reason in a volunteer recruiting capacity?. And most infamously, in a now deleted Reddit AMA, Dr. Wood decided to derisively call the FCS "JV" as if his school's program was not languishing.

On June 18, 2025, Sacramento State announced that it would be leaving the Big Sky Conference, of which it had been a full member (unlike UC Davis and Cal Poly) since 1996. On June 26, 2025, the news came back that the NCAA had denied Sacramento State's waiver for the 2026 season. Naturally, Dr. Wood disagreed with this decision, and took to Twitter to express his displeasure, claiming that the school had "met every meaningful benchmark for FBS membership.".

Like actually, what the hell is this guy's problem? It seems he is hell bent on emphatically proving not all publicity is good publicity.

That was absolutely wild. I tuned in expecting a little more trash talk. But I also learned that we can no longer use the word "riots", regardless if you mention race at all; because it is racist. My god.

These guys are complete idiots. What "A-LIST" people are going to show up for Sac State basketball.

All this is about is attacking Montana. No, we aren't as racially diverse as california, but you're calling out not just our football program, calling out the entire state, this is just a propaganda video and they are treating this asshat like a hero. He is trying to bait someone into a racial slur to say "I told you so" but he is saying horrible things and stereotyping Montana and no one is stepping up to end it. He says this was all in fun and he's living rent free in the heads of Montana fans, there is nothing fun about this interview, this is serious.

He's probably never been to Montana but here he is being an authority on the entire state without any foundation for it. We don't need to have a show after the game "HEADLINED" to get 27k into the stadium. They played a game in Ogden with 2k in attendance and no one is holding his feet to the fire on anything he's saying, they are just allowing him to keep going on and on.

I can't wait to see the can of whoop ass open and then what they do to put the lid back on this. They deserve all the humiliation we can dish out.

Ok so I just listened to the interview and that was really something. The hosts (whoever those guys are) are trying to start a narrative that Bobby's just a huge racist because he called the incident a riot. Despite the fact that probably about half of our team is black but that's the motive they're trying to spin. And then, rather than condemning what happened, those idiots go on to say that the fight was no big deal and just downplaying it like it was nothing and that stuff like that happens at sporting events. When's the last time a fight broke out at Wa-Griz? I've never seen one before.

I hope we beat these fuckers by 50. It's astounding that this man even still has a job. I wonder what their AD thinks of this whole situation.
 
It's pretty wild in the interview how they try and downplay the incident(s) around the game like nothing happened. There's been a few people saying it was a complete disaster regarding how to control crowds and who got invited etc.

"Montana's not traveling well this season" (going to blame lower attendance on you guys, instead of their actual attendance)

"We're putting on amazing events" - yeah, inflating your attendance numbers by paying $200k to host large rap concert to bring in people for super-cheap tickets. Won't tell anyone how much they are actually being paid to bring in these big-name rappers.

@ 15:18 in the video above - he says: "Yeah, stadium is going along, just as planned."

Ummm. what? Sac paid 1/3 a million dollars to get cartoon looking renderings done of their new stadium- they wanted, or hive or whatever dumb wasp gimmick.. turns out they were just "conceptual renderings" and weren't really based in any sort of reality. Done by Populous.

These plans were all shown at the location of their current stadium. They are now looking at the Cal Expo site which is off campus, across the river and to the north.

That was not the original plan.. so no, things aren't going according to plan Luke.

The plan for the stadium would have cost probably $150,000,000 - Supposedly $50 million of that they had "pledge" to them (no guaranteed donations though)..

The company spearheading this project?- you guessed it, luke Wood's own brother via his Kospure development company (even though they have no projects under their belt it appears).

Anyway, now they are talking about re-developing a horse track off campus and a 50 year lease.

IMO that's definitely not "stadium going according to plan" that's "we fucked up and don't really have a plan, or funding now we're renting a horse track."
 
If you get that worked up about it, you let Dr. Wood win. And you can bet there will be more eyes on ESPN2 because of it. I don’t think there will be huge attendance numbers on a Friday night against Kings home opener and HS football… probably 15-17k.
