Sorry, I didn’t have volume and can’t search egriz well right now, but can someone explain to me why the dropped fair catch by PSU was placed at the 2yard line before the safety? Didn’t know how that rule worked.

I believe it is a muff and recovery.

Ok, that makes sense. Makes it super imperative to catch that ball…

Wouldn't matter if his knee was down because you can't advance the ball after signaling for a fair catch. If you signal for a fair catch and make it, the ball it placed at the 25, but if you don't make the catch, it is placed at the location of the signal after recovery.
