Look this OL needs lots work but unless you want them to get even worse, this ain’t it Chief.

PlayerRep said:Winning game plan? So, a plan that gets a 21-3 half-time lead, allows Davis only 113 yards in the first half, doesn't allow a Davis TD until 2:17 to go in the third quarter, and doesn't allow Davis to get the lead until the 4th quarter, is not a good game plan?
Chief, please explain how they can get worse! LOLBWahlberg said:Spanky2 said:Rule, the OL needs to be replaced with JC transfers....the entire line.

By replacing every starter with JuCo transfers

The offensive line doesn’t call the plays.
The offensive line didn’t throw 3 INT’s trying to win the game all by themselves.
The offensive line didn’t give up 36 points in the 4th quarter.
The offensive line didn’t miss receivers by 5-7 yards consistently.
The offensive line wasn’t throwing bullets to receivers 7 yards away.
The offensive line didn’t decided to go for it on 4th & 1 with our littlest and little used RB
The offensive line didn’t blow the double pass trick play immediately following.
The offensive line didn’t go from causing 5 straight punts to giving up 6 straight TD’s
The offensive line was actually one of the better looking units on the field yesterday.

As devil's advocate....many of these ailments would be cured if the Griz could get 1-3 yards when needed. That starts with the O-line. The defense wouldn't be on the field so much if they could go out and get those short yardage 3rd and 4th downs.
I acknowledge that the O-line isn't the only group that can improve, but much of a team's success stems from the "trenches."

Sorry, but I have to disagree. They DID get yards consistently. 4.4/carry, to be precise. Yes, there were a couple critical plays where they didn’t, but look through that ist of ailments again...not many can be hung on or corrected by the O-line. They’re not the ones overthrowing receivers or throwing missiles to receivers 5 yards away...they didn’t fumble on the six. Or throw two pics deep in enemy territory. THey’re not the ones who had their hands turned the wrong direction on a critical pass late in the game. The list goes on and on.

Announcers said at the beginning of the game it would take 50 points for the Griz to win. Truly f***[*] amazing how accurate that assessment was. To score ZERO points after half is not a good “game” plan. It’s a good “half” plan and a really, really shitty second half plan.

Again, they didn't open a hole on a critical 4th and 1 in the 3d. And they did miss a block that caused Sneed to get hit form the blind side and fumble deep in UM territory. And they had a large hand in giving up 6 sacks. Sneed didn't complete 12 passes, and completed 25. That's 67.6 percentage.
Do you really think that every pass should be on the mark and completed?
Sneed is third in the conference in passing. Yards, percentage, TD's. Probably is middle of the pack for interceptions per passing attempt. Second in number of passing attempts. 3d i total offense in the conference. 2d in rushing by qb's, behind Anderson.

Being ahead going into the 4th quarter against the 6th ranked team in the nation and top ranked conference team, is very good game plan.
Saying the Griz didn't have good game plan is a just plain dumb comment.

Were you bragging about Stitt's game plan after the 2nd half of EWU game last year? We're 0-3 in the last three weeks with those genius game plans. Games are 4 quarters long. Not 2. Not 3. Four f***[*] quarters. We haven't played four complete quarters in a game this YEAR. Do you put that on coaches or players?

I doubt that EWU last year and Davis this year, had anything to do with the game plans.
