Ok, so when I say I'm surprised that Griz fans are hyping Butler in the wake of that game, this is what I'm talking about.

They finished 4th last year in a conference that doesn't have athletic scholarships and has a collective 2 playoff wins in the last 10 years.

What happened to you guys?

Sorry, I didn't realize GRIZ fans put Bushka on the Payton list.

Nothing but 1-0 happened as far as I'm aware. How 'bout over in bubland? Coaches behave themselves?

Who is hyping Butler? Quote the posts. Butler is way better than Utah Tech. The qb is very good and accurate.

Their whole passing game is impressive. Their receivers consistently won contested balls. Good protection and the QB hit targets as he was being hit.

I would never pooh pooh Butler. They're making at least the quarterfinals. That Bushka kid is probably going to start at the next level.

Nothing happened. It is week 1 and nobody knows a damn thing at this point. Mid season things will be easier to sort out. Until then, everyone is going to prognosticate and complain. Next week will tell a lot for the Griz and for most BSC teams. Relax Francis. Season is young and yet - so many fans from other FCS teams on the Griz board. Hilarious. Living rent free in everyone’s head since forever. Still the gold standard.

I'm a Cat fan who loves the rivalry and am super interested in what's going on with both teams. I think that describes virtually all Griz and Cat fans.

Also-- I agree that it's only a week 1 result. It may or may not be telling in the long run. I'm still surprised that a lot of UM fans are trying to puff up Butler.

Way too early and Bobby's still trying to find a QB. Wa Griz stadium is worth at least 7 points though, maybe more against a team with no scholarships. If this game were played at Butler, makes you wonder what might have happened? Regardless a win's a win. I don't think Utah Tech is a bad as many thin & the Griz should have enough to win in the desert. Hope the Cats can finally close the gap against the Dakota schools this weekend.

Discounting how good he is because he's been run-first as a freshmen/sophomore is so sad.

Is it? Brings a tear to your eye? What’s funny is that Bobfans think they have a Dickenson/Ochs-type guy, but he basically just takes direct snaps on designed runs and occasionally throws a one-read halfback pass. The QB UM faced on Saturday was more well-rounded in my opinion.

At least they can keep it up with the OC and DC out on bail until the offseason. Maybe get some PEDs going if they haven’t already (they likely have). Anything to win.
