Ok, so when I say I'm surprised that Griz fans are hyping Butler in the wake of that game, this is what I'm talking about.

They finished 4th last year in a conference that doesn't have athletic scholarships and has a collective 2 playoff wins in the last 10 years.

What happened to you guys?

The no athletic scholarship excuse doesn’t work anymore. They likely have plenty of kids on “scholarships” to make up for what they don’t get by playing a sport. They also have a NIL deal with Opendorse to compensate for the athletic scholarship deficit.

So your argument is that the ability to offer football scholarships isn’t an advantage?

Who is hyping Butler? Quote the posts. Butler is way better than Utah Tech. The qb is very good and accurate.

Their whole passing game is impressive. Their receivers consistently won contested balls. Good protection and the QB hit targets as he was being hit.

And, he threw dimes off his back foot and off balance...that kid is a player no matter he is "non-scholarship". I don't think we'll see a better passer this year.

He's definitely better than most QBs in the Big Sky. He is their offense.
