Montana head basketball coach Travis DeCuire has built his staff, and a large part of his team with players that he, or his assistants, have held long relationships with.

Now, another long relationship is paying dividends for the Griz, as 6-7, 215-pound small forward Donaven Dorsey has officially signed with the Griz, transferring from the University of Washington after spending two seasons with the Huskies.

"I recruited him a bit at Cal to play the wing and had a chance to see some of his tools," said DeCuire. "Coach (Rachi) Wortham actually worked with him while coaching AAU ball and has known him since he was young. Recruiting is always about relationships, and knowing him and his coaches for a long time played a major role."

As a prep, Dorsey was ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and ranked as the No. 56 small forward in the nation by ESPN.com at Timberline High School in Lacey, Wash.

Averaging 18.6 points per game as a senior, he was also listed as the third-highest prospect in the state of Washington that year. He helped the Blazers advance to the state playoffs in both the 2012-13 and '13-'14 seasons.
There's more.
