Likley won't serve a day in Deer Lodge (beyond processing and classification)... Likley he'll start out in the state portion of the Missoula County jail (one third is leased to the state for sex offenders) after a few months if he goes to all his "classes on how not to be pervert" he'll walk across the parking lot to the pre-release center so he can get a job. 30 months of a 30 year sentence but the victim (there were more than one at the hearing) will serve life. There is something wrong with our judges.....

Sorry but u are wrong he will be going to prison. He was sentenced to prison not the DOC. He will be in Deer Lodge, or a regional prison for a few years before he can apply for any earlier release programs.

The sex offender program is in Missoula County Jail in Pod 1 where there are held anywhere from 30 - 100+ perverts. Its is likley if he qualifies for "treatment" that is exactly where he will be. That is after his initial processing and classification in Deer Lodge. 6 - 12 mos before his "release" he can be transfered to a pre-lease center.

One of the dirty little secrets in the financing of the Missoula County Detention Center is the fact it is financed by the sex offenders program. Many of whom's graduates like the recent group of out of state trash?atheltic washouts never leave.

A sentence of DOC is entirley different as you pointed out. As I said Donaldsons Time in Deerlodge will be short if at all (beyond the intake/classification unit) he has already learned the first key to sex offender treatment. apologize to anyone and everyone who will hear........... he may even be able to extend his time in classification with chemical dependencey evaluation. He has had some great advice (he should have for what his attorneys prolly cost) in how to make his time pretty easy.
I understand what u are saying but he will have to do his sex offender treatment at the prison. There he will be designated a Tier. He will be in prison for at least 2.5 years and probably 3-4.

I understand what you are saying too... I'm Hoping you are correct. There is every possiblity he will back to Missoula in a few months. the Offenders unit here is part of the "prison"

He is a convicted felon, and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. I am not saying that he doesn't deserve it, because he does. In reality, he is getting a life sentence. Good luck getting a good job, or ever being able to restore his reputation. I feel bad for the victim and the family, because they will never get over it completely. :twocents:

If it was my daughter we wouldn't be debating the punishment of a rape charge rather the punishment of a homicide. He's a piece of shit.

Victims of sex crimes sometimes do manage to get more or less completely past the injury. I'll say that know this from personal experience and just leave it at that. I hope the victim gets the professional help that she needs and can put this incident behind her. I would say it would be tougher if the act was physically violent and I don't believe that was the case. It was a serious case of violation of trust and emotional violence and rebuilding the ability to trust enough to simply be happy will probably be the hardest part. I wish the victim nothing but peace and good mental health. Be well.
