Nope, all 3 initial (and more serious) serious charges were DROPPED. Replaced with a minor disorderly conduct charge. Total victory for the players and their lawyers. And they didn't have to promise not to sure the city/police for section 1983 violations. Again, total victory for the players and their lawyers from the Datsopolous law firm.

Some of you grown men need to grow up! You bicker more then my 7th grade students during a popularity contest. It is a forum and everyone has a right to their opinion. Some of which you may agree with, other stuff maybe not. Skip over if it bothers you so much... Some of you act as if what Playerrep types on a forum is messing with your perfect life. Does playerrep have a strong opinion on incidents involving legal problems with griz athletes? Absolutely! He has been wrong on some and correct in other incidents, but that is only my opinion. It humors me that many of you bitch about the Missoulian releasing not-proven information prematurely, then you get upset with Playerrep for reminding everyone that their are two side to every store and to wait for the defense attorney to share their case..
This forum is turning into a joke with guys that can't go two posts without flaming someone. Lets simmer down!

catzz, I do not think anyone has a problem with opinions and both sides of the story. This has much more to do with Player and his pompous, I am better than everyone attitude he uses when posting his strong opinion and the sneaky, behind the back actions he takes when a person disagrees with his opinion.

say what you want about pr, but he is almost always correct, at least technically, with the information he provides. i don't always agree with his conclusions, because not guilty sometimes just means the accused got away with something based on lack of evidence or a technicality.

Voluntary intoxication is not a defense to a criminal charge in MT. I suspect that their defense will be that an unexpected interaction between his painkillers and alcohol led to his actions or deprived him of the ability to act with the requisite intent. They can make a plausible argument that he was beyond merely intoxicated and was involuntarily under the influence of the interaction between the drugs and the alcohol.

Bearister - Yeah, but....WHENEVER a prescription is dispensed for a controlled drug (and others), the patient is counseled on the interaction and dangers of combining said drug with alcohol. Therefore, someone ingesting alcohol or other drugs that are centrally acting with a painkiller is not "involuntarily" under the influence. Sounds pretty voluntary to me!

Right, Rabid. That's exactly what the prosecution would argue to the jury, depending on what the evidence is regarding the advice BD actually received.
