WOW what a devastating loss. I was at UM back in the 60's when losses were the norm and victories were few and far between. Can't recall anything quite this bad for a long long time. I need some help here since I live in the North GA mountains and don't get to see the Griz live very often. Either NAU is awful good or the Griz are awful bad or this was just a bad day--which is it? It is awful hard to be up 24-7 and then get outscored 34-7 the rest of the way.In cases like this you can usually lay it on lack of mental preparation, poor coaching and the entire team just packing it in but all of these factors are not the Griz way at all. So what is going on or was this just a bad day that will not continue. If it does continue we are in for a very long and disappointing season.

According to a lot of us, it was the people tailgaiting in the 3rd quarter and a lack of crowd noise. Oh yea the Jimmy Johns ads really messed the team up as well. Honestly, though it was probably a little of everything you mentioned and yes, the crowd noise was along the lines of a tennis match in the 2nd half.

Bauman ran for 250-plus yards today? Are you kidding me putting that loss all on Trent McKinney's shoulders? I would say 9-out-10 games, a back runs for 250 and you're going to lose. Turnovers were horrible by the Griz, but CMON MAN, lets not pretend Montana's defense held up today.
   Best performance EVER by an opposing running back in Washington-Grizzly history. True Tent had a rough game but remember this is was the 4th start EVER.

You must not have been around for the Larry Donovan era....actually speaking of tailgating, it those days most people NEVER left the tailgates....the entertainment in the tailgates was way better that the product on the field.

We were exposed to what we are. A very young inexperienced team with untested coordinators, and an older untested head coach with an agenda driven president. We got the crap kicked out of us in the trenches on both sides of the ball and have absolutely zero rush support from the defensive backs. Will it get better? I don't know but ewu in they're house is not a very good place to find out. Losing is one thing but being totally embarrased at home for homecoming is a difficult pill to swallow for both fans and team. This time next week we will be either 2-3 or 3-2 and will define the rest of the season. Big week for the football team.

yup not Tmacs fault. D needs to work on basic tackling, this "tough-guy" tackling is not working. they need to wrap those legs and wait for team to finish. going high and bumping!!! never will work. Damn, come on!!!

I can only shake my head.

Would have been all state in High school if my genes didn't suck and I didn't have such a fast metabolism, I did a lot of things better then others that weighted more and they make it to college and pro football? :O

I am sure in his mind Mr. Engstrom is proud of the work he accomplished yesterday. ;)

I love that you dinks can blame the loss yesterday on Engstrom.  Engstrom shouldn't have turned the ball over, Engstrom shouldn't have allowed a 250 yard day from Bauman, Engstrom should have been able to fall on that muffed punt, Engstrom should have come back in the stadium instead of tailgating for the 3rd quarter, Engstrom should have won the Jimmy Johns game, Engstrom shouldn't have tried that onside kick, Engstrom should hit harder from the safety position.......grow up....... :coffee: :coffee:

Engstrom put the cart before the horse creating a lot unnecesary "press" creating a huge shit storm. The results of all these investigations will make you look in the mirror and see who the dink really is. If you can tell me why Kemp is on the sidelines I'll give you $10.00.

Notice Bauman's number: 34

Remind you of anybody? Reminds me of November 1, 2008. The shoe was on our guy's foot.

Sac State game. This was a carbon copy...

True sir, but that was on the road. Let's hope the rebound is similar, that team had more veterans. I think we have young talent, how they grow will define this season.
