Why would a current player ever go on social media and talk about the coaches they currently play for? They're not stupid.
You lack a self-embarrassment gene. The outpouring of support for Ty certainly didn't prevent any player from expressing social media support for Stitt, did it? Then or now.grzz said:And to cover another thing with you, yet again. It is more than possible for players to like both Ty and Stitt. Can you show us anywhere where any of those guys who expressed support for Ty said they didn't like Stitt.

Thank you finally agreeing with me. If they are praising the coach, nothing to fear. Cat players seem to be able to do it about Choate. But, if the opinion is anything other than Ryan Johnson sitting next to Stitt at a pressser and declaring anything other than 100% support?MrTitleist said:Why would a current player ever go on social media and talk about the coaches they currently play for? UMGriz75 said:But deflection does not disguise the fact that you fabricated the notion of a "Ty" press conference -- your claim was absolutely false -- and of the eight metrics I posted, you can't seem to take factual issue with any of them.
I have lectured during orientation classes for the past however many years that the social media and student conduct codes have been in effect, what they are and where they are located on the internet if not passing out hard copies of them.horribilisfan8184 said:Why does a poster who thinks he knows so much about the team, not consider let alone know about team rules on things such as social media restrictions?

Interesting you would bring that up. What do you know about them?
The relevant code section in the Montana Student Athlete Conduct Code is at 7-15, and with regard to the team, players are prohibited from "Posting negative comments about the team, coaches, teammates, Grizzly Athletics Department, the University of Montana, the Big Sky Conference (including game officials), and opponents."
And justifiably so, but they are not prohibited from posting positive comments. I'd say as part of generating public support and enthusiasm, players are encouraged to do so.
Where are they?
I am more than glad to get the goat of people like you that make shit up, can't defend it, and then finally descend to "f*** you" as the ultimate expression of their opinion. It's as good as any of the "facts" you can't seem to identify when asked what your opinions are actually based on.grzz said:I just need to get something off of my chest. f*** YOU.

As you say, they're not stupid.
Frankly, I was surprised at the public outpouring of player support for Ty when he left, since it could have been easily interpreted as criticism of Stitt and his handing over of a successful Montana Defense guided by an experienced D1 coach to a less experienced DII coach untested at the D1 level.
It was notable that for all the support given to Ty on social media, including best wishes on his new position, there was not one example of a current player congratulating Jason Semore for his appointment to the UM position. I did reflect on the fact that, for the first time in my lifetime former and current Griz players were congratulating the appointment of a Bobcat coach in the most public manner possible, and not publicly congratulating the appointment of a Griz coach to the equivalent position.
Yes, that seemed odd to me; perhaps not to you because we do not share, in the slightest, the same life experiences in sports and coaching.
