Disrespect for our Grizzly Marching Band

Would there be a marching band without football?

They don't march around at basketball games, track meets, or softball games. Face it, the band is just another attraction, or distraction, from the football game. Its background noise when standing in line for food at the half. Good on the National Anthem and Griz coming out of the tunnel, but that's about it.
'Cotton Eyed Joe' gets fans enthused, clapping to the tune and, in general, celebrating. The monotone cannon is more stirring that the band. 'Free Fallin' was great back in the Skydivers entrance days. Even Monte get more attention than the band. The bands 'Marching' is basic robotics. They probably can, and will, be replaced by a Bot. Like Buggies and Buggy Whips........gone. Not needed. Just the truth, as I see it.

Watched the Bayou Classic. No disrespect to the Griz band, but these were great marching bands!

Agreed. The Griz Marching Band is not, in any way, shape, or form, comparable to them.

This stupid band story has already received more media attention than the MSU staffs multiple DUI’s and their campus civil rights investigation. Hilarious.
