Did anyone watch the Chargers/Raiders game last night? Up 21 - 14 mid 4th quarter Chargers go for it on 4th and short from about the 50....got the first down...continued the drive and score TD to go up 28 - 14.

Nice call to go win the game by the Chargers coach.

Good heavens, give it up man! Are you seriously making a comparison from the Chargers/Raiders NFL game and Coach Hauck going for it in Cheney. Seriously, the fallout of not making it would have been indescribable. If EWU stopped the 1st down attempt the Eags would have got the ball with incredible field position. If the Griz miss a 49 yard field goal attempt it’s an automatic touchback and the ball is at the 25. What in the hell are you thinking? Stop talking sh$t because you don’t know what the hell you are talking about and stop putting players down.

Here's the rule: If Griz miss the 48 or 49 yard FG snapped from the 31......EWU gets the ball at the 31. If they run a play and don't get the first down EWU gets it wherever the play ends. Incomplete pass EWU gets it on the 31...gain of a couple.....the 29 or 28.....loss of a couple.... the 33 or 34. Get 5 yards and you get fresh set of downs and chance to put a strange hold on the game!

Since I don't know what I'm talking about and you do.....the 31 must be "incredible" field position.

The rules also seem to say the ball is never at returned to the 25 (unless a failed fourth down play is snapped from the 25!). EWU would start at the 20 if the FG attempt was tried inside the 20!!

So....you got both "sides" of the rule totally wrong...but "I'm talking sh$t and don't know what the hell I'm talking about?"

And where in my post about the Monday Night game last night did I "put players down"? The Chargers guy seemed to think the "fallout" for going for it at the 50, up 7 in the middle of the 4th was worth the risk. Bobby decided going for it from the 31 up 11 in the third quarter was way too risky! "Indescribably!"

I'm more interested in why a guy with so much football savvy has no clue on the field goal rules but likes to talks sh$t so he can be proven wrong by a guy that does!

Wait a second Karen, you claim to have coached the game, but he just owned you on ball placement after a missed field goal. Are you related to PR by chance?

I have a proposal to the egriz board monitors. Shut the board down from kick off until 12 hours after the game is over. That way the idiots that feel they have the license to verbally tear down and even wish bodily harm on any player may just need some time to cool off before they attack. Just once put yourselves in Cam’s place. Did he not want to win, did he choose to put life and limb in danger of serious injury? The answer is obvious.
Cam is a good quarterback but odds are he will never play beyond this level but he has a desire to win, just as much as Jace or Robby or any of the other Griz players. Does Cam have limitations, of course he does or he’d be playing for a Power 5 team. But for the so-called fans to come on this board and malign his efforts is just a cheap shot that is not what being a Griz fan is all about. As a U graduate and a fan of our sports teams for almost 60 years you punks don’t deserve to have a voice. You do not represent my University.
