Dirty Turf

Is it just me or did that turf look....dirty?

It's the black rubber they use to fill in the field between the 'grass.' All the fake turf has that stuff in it these days.

Actually the red makes it look dirtier than standard green. I noticed that at the game today as well.

yeah, the black blends into the green better then red. i noticed it on film too.

I wonder if the Boise blue field or Central Arkansas grey strippidy field looks dirty too.

A lot of the new fields are going to cork instead of rubber. The rubber gets really hot and the cork stays cooler.

Maybe they could have gone with red rubber. I know a gas station bathroom on the edge of Ritzville that could have helped.
