In light of recent helmet ripping events, does anyone have the video of the UI player ripping Knight's helmet off? I'm interested in Knight's reaction versus the Pittsburgh QB.

Follow up: Do the Bobcats still have that dude on staff who taunted LeGarrette Blount and got knocked the F out?

There was also an instance in the Cat vs UNC game last Saturday where a cat lineman landed on top of a UNC player, and then proceeded to rip his helmet off. Cats were on offense, 1st quarter I believe. Definitely blatant, dirty, garbage play.

They had taken the helmet off our running back not once, but twice by then. Watch again and see if you have the same take.

I didn't see that happen, if so they should also be punished. I can remember when the PSU player made an illegal crack back block and completely tore up the knee of a Griz defender and his season was over. I just don't feel there is any place for that in the game.

I'm not picking on the Cat team, just saw what that Cat lineman did and I thought it was a garbage play.

I was very happy to see how Bobby's team handled Idaho's several dirty plays, they didn't respond in a dirty, unprofessional way. You can see Bobby has a great handle on this team, they had multiple times they could have lost their heads and responded back in a dirty way.

Yeah watch the game, UNC was trying to take helmets off on almost every play. I don't blame the OL for knocking the helmet off the UNC player. If the refs show they aren't gonna call that crap its fair for both teams to do it. :thumb:

Actually UNC tackling looked horrible simply because some players were helmet tackling, they missed a lot of tackles because of it, probably another reason why they are at the bottom of the league.

Oh no I get it. And I’m not condoning anything just because it’s the Cats! Trust me, there have been several Cat players over the years I didn’t care for at all!

It was just context. Our running back had his helmet taken all the way off twice prior to the play you mentioned. Both times had to leave the field for the next play per the rules. 2nd time he was pretty fired up on the sideline. So I think when we did it, it was a little payback. A message if you will. Not smart, but I don’t mind teammates sticking up for one another.

There's other ways to stick up for a teammate without ripping some one's helmet off. No doubt watching it, even showed it on replay a couple of time, cat o lineman was laying on top of him and ripped it off.

I didn't see a player from UNC rip a cat helmet off before this. When did it happen? Was the UNC player responding because of what a cat player did, or vice versa? I stopped watching it when the Griz game started.
I understand being frustrated. Play smart, and classy. Griz could have had a ton of that last week, game got very dirty, one of the worst I've seen. Glad Bobby has control of his players. Who knows it could happen again and one of the Griz players could rip a helmet off.

they are definitely bad, not sure that they are the worst I have ever seen though.

Sorry about not completing thoughts. In no way was Garrett justified and deserves suspension. However, Pouncey and QB deserve discipline also.
Using helmet as weapon takes things to a whole other level. QB was classless in his involvement in escalating things.
This wasn’t anything like domestic abuse, it was several grown men who play a violent sport who lost their minds and put a black eye on the sport that employs them and their teams and teammates. People like to lump all the world’s problems in a few regrettable moments. Didn’t like it and support discipline.
Also, have strong feelings about disciplining college players with actions that shouldn’t be allowed. If their actions are missed on the field, the video evidence should be used in executing discipline, just seems to be a blind eye. Tre on multiple plays was acting outside the confines of organized sports and will be encouraged to continue if there no disciplinary actions taken

I only watched the play once because I could care less about that league anymore, but they didn't show the QB doing anything that I could see, and of course I don't know what they were saying to each other.

The domestic dispute part was a joke because they have hated each other since the beginning of their teams...

They will be encouraged to continue, College or "Pro" because nothing happens to them. I read the Browns player has to go see the moron commissioner before playing next year, well what will he say besides he's sorry like he already did? Of course he's sorry, he raged out and was caught. Again, the QB could have said the most extreme racist thing ever, I have no idea.

Point is, no matter what, the Browns player will get a slap on the wrist, probably still paid under suspension etc.. If he does that to somebody back on the block, he gets shot. On the field, he just doesn't play for a while...???
