Kevin Criswell!!
Best high school player I've ever watched in MT besides Reilly Bradshaw. I think Criswell averaged 34 points and 14 rebounds as a Senior at Colstrip. I have the Montana-Wyoming program for that year at my house so I'll check. This Knox kid couldn't hold Criswell's jockstrap as a high school player. And whoever said Knox is better than Bradshaw is absolutely nuts.

He once scored 47 pts and had 26 rebounds against us. They still lost the game though.
Did you play for Billings Central? Yeah his team was kinda trash his Senior year. That Colstrip team his junior year is still one of the best MT teams I've seen in any class.

My cousin has played against both. He said Knox is a much better athlete and the best defender he's faced in the state. Never said he was "better than Bradshaw". Bradshaw is more skilled and is a better offensive player. I'll take his word for it...

He was until I watched Reilly Bradshaw score 41 points on 19 shots while being double teamed the entire game against Stevi. No I wan't around to see those guys.

Knox had much better players around him than Bradshaw did.

Criswell's team his junior year was very good, but I'd have to say 97 Hardin, 01 Browning and 11 Columbia Falls teams were better (just Class A comparison). 99 Dillon was on par with Criswell's team.

Knox may be more athletic but he's not in Bradshaw's league. There is a reason why Stew Morrill said he could come in and start games for them as a true freshman.

Love the '97 Hardin reference. Joe Knows Gunn, Lefi House, what a team. I think they beat Dillon in the title game that year. The #1 team ever if you're going by all classes is 2003 Bozeman and I don't think it's close.

I agree Bradshaw can and will contribute right away as he is a confident shot maker. With Knox you are getting someone who can come off the bench (although not this year obviously) and give you hard minutes of great shut down defense. They are two completely different players and while overall Bradshaw could be considered "better" I don't think it's completely fair to compare them when looking at what they can do for a team as a whole.

As for best teams I'm pretty much a Class A guy. I could get into discussion all day about best players, but when it comes to teams I'll have to defer to others. Even then my Class A first hand knowledge starts in 96.

Hardin did beat Dillon in 97, and I've never seen a team play like they did that Saturday night.

I agree with the "way" they played that night. Between the legs passes from House, alley oops to Knows Gun, trash talking the Dillon student section, but the signature moment was Lefi House's Karl Malone esque "Mailman" layup with his hand on the back of his head in the last moments. Those guys could ball

I would certainly put the 86 and 87 Glendive teams, led by Fastings, up there with many teams. Then again, I am biased, I went to school there, and spent many summers in Glendive. I got to play against Fastings, alot. That guy was really fun to watch in HS, then college. One player that was often, too unselfish. What a great joy, it would be to coach a player like him. The Ferch brother's led Livingston teams, were great too.

Other players I liked watching in 87, were under the radar, Felix McGowan with Poplar, and Bill Pilgrim with Plains. 2 great class B players, on opposite ends of the state. I know Bill had a stellar career at Carroll. Last I remember of Felix, he was at Montana State, and battled injuries. Anyone know what happened of him? I loved watching him play.

Felix wasnt at MSU. He played at NIC (juco), then at Gonzaga. Last I saw him was at a town team tournament in Nespelem, Wa. back in spring of 1997.

Felix was at MSU, his true Freshman year. I am not sure when he left there, but am almost sure, he started schooling there.
