I agree Bradshaw can and will contribute right away as he is a confident shot maker. With Knox you are getting someone who can come off the bench (although not this year obviously) and give you hard minutes of great shut down defense. They are two completely different players and while overall Bradshaw could be considered "better" I don't think it's completely fair to compare them when looking at what they can do for a team as a whole.
As for best teams I'm pretty much a Class A guy. I could get into discussion all day about best players, but when it comes to teams I'll have to defer to others. Even then my Class A first hand knowledge starts in 96.
Hardin did beat Dillon in 97, and I've never seen a team play like they did that Saturday night.
I agree with the "way" they played that night. Between the legs passes from House, alley oops to Knows Gun, trash talking the Dillon student section, but the signature moment was Lefi House's Karl Malone esque "Mailman" layup with his hand on the back of his head in the last moments. Those guys could ball
I would certainly put the 86 and 87 Glendive teams, led by Fastings, up there with many teams. Then again, I am biased, I went to school there, and spent many summers in Glendive. I got to play against Fastings, alot. That guy was really fun to watch in HS, then college. One player that was often, too unselfish. What a great joy, it would be to coach a player like him. The Ferch brother's led Livingston teams, were great too.
Other players I liked watching in 87, were under the radar, Felix McGowan with Poplar, and Bill Pilgrim with Plains. 2 great class B players, on opposite ends of the state. I know Bill had a stellar career at Carroll. Last I remember of Felix, he was at Montana State, and battled injuries. Anyone know what happened of him? I loved watching him play.
