Just to give us all something else to do, I decided to “flip” the slant versus the “Upset Guesses” thread. It’s based on the fact that several ranked teams are playing opponents that are really bad -- several have not yet won a game.
I used the “toughies” for the "Guesses" poll (but included them above to be complete). Here I’m wondering where you think an upset is least likely, or where you'd most love to see an upset but have little or no hope that it could happen. (Too many options for a poll.)
My personal favorite is Villanova playing at home against Rhode Island. The Rhodies have been really bad for the past several years, and this season doesn’t look like it will change that.
But actually, the upset that might surprise me most would be Presbyterian over Coastal. The Presbys have only been playing a full schedule since 2007. They won 6 games that year, and haven’t won more than 4 in a season since.
Have at it.
