Just to give us all something else to do, I decided to “flip” the slant versus the “Upset Guesses” thread. It’s based on the fact that several ranked teams are playing opponents that are really bad -- several have not yet won a game.

I used the “toughies” for the "Guesses" poll (but included them above to be complete). Here I’m wondering where you think an upset is least likely, or where you'd most love to see an upset but have little or no hope that it could happen. (Too many options for a poll.)

My personal favorite is Villanova playing at home against Rhode Island. The Rhodies have been really bad for the past several years, and this season doesn’t look like it will change that.

But actually, the upset that might surprise me most would be Presbyterian over Coastal. The Presbys have only been playing a full schedule since 2007. They won 6 games that year, and haven’t won more than 4 in a season since.

Have at it.

Wow! That's a surprise all by itself, no matter what the final score ends up. :o

Penn (0-3) came out and scored on #14 Fordham in two quick plays (77 yards) on their latest drive.

Well, this will probably be like the Fordham game, where the opponent scored first before falling way behind (currently 28-13 Fordham).
Edit: Make that 35-13 Fordham.

But, Presbyterian just went out and scored first on #3 Coastal Carolina.

(Exchanging punts in the NDSU-SIU game.)

If anyone is watching the E. Washington vs So Utah game share your thoughts on EWA's offense without lil shoota.

Eastern up 21 to 17 at half, 250+ yards on Offense, but has a bunch of penalties and a pick. Backup Qb has 150+ yards and 2 tds.

Eastern is sitting 20 players for this game due to injury and suspension...including Adams, Forte and Hill.

Interesting. Seems to be a day when the under-dogs score first ... although they have not been able to hold it.

But right now:
Murray State 7-0 over #23 SE Missouri State
SHSU 7-0 over #5 McNeese
South Dakota 7-0 over #21 No Iowa

Wonder how long those will last. :)

Already making excuses just in case they lose?

Haha! Like EWU would ever suspend a player . . .

Mostly no surprises, so far, in the completed games. However, SHSU is currently putting the wood to #5 McNeese, 35-7.

But to me the real shocker is how Murray State (1-4) is hanging with #23 SE Missouri State (4-2).

...and Murray State pulls off the 44-41 OT upset.

Amazing. Pretty solid win for SHSU, but the Murray State upset has to be the biggie. Have they ever been any good?

Griz get a bye to "heal up" and move up a spot in the polls (probably.) :thumb:
