Did the kitties play football today?

I saw some “highlights” of this game if you could call them that.
Looked like the Dillon LB’er was back at QB, at least for most of those plays, or when it mattered, like in the red zone.
Falco’s passing stats were greatly inflated by a long fly-sweep handoff that went in the books as a pass. Had to be about half his yards on that “pass.”

The Fly sweep was from Jonson to Jones.

And, they beat a higher ranked very good SEMO team handily.

Cool. Just tracking poor’s assertions.

Thanks for doing this! Right about where I thought he's be after these first two

Sure thing. He only has to average 215 yards and 3 TDs on about 70% completion percentage from here on out!

Hmmm, you probably need to check the math there dude. Probably at least 12 games left. Fortunately two of the best teams on our schedule are behind us now, and fortunately Choate-led teams play their best football in November. Bauman looks like what he is, a Freshman QB that has great potential but needs to continue to improve, which I believe he will. :thumb:

Fucking Stitt!

Jonsen was QB on that play and was credited with the 55 yard pass for a TD from a fly sweep, I dont think Bauman ran the fly sweep so wasn't credited with any yards from that type of play

Hmmm, you probably need to check your posts, there, dude. Regular season. Gotta be a crazy uptick for FCS Flacco.

So you are saying the Cat schedule is weak as hell and you are now in the soft part of your schedule? A freshman quarterback is going to play bad competition all year, not improve and then you may make the playoffs and get pummeled because you have not played any real competition. Sounds like a great development plan.

I wouldn't call the Cats remaining schedule weak at all. Northern AZ, Cal Poly, Cal Davis away, Montana. Sac State looks like it is much improved and North Dakota. This is after to really tough teams already in Texas Tech and SEMO.

However the Cats won the game against a higher rated team handily. That is what counts. It is a good thing to have some really good talent surrounding a redshirt freshman making his second start to give him time to develop and improve. He will be a very good QB before it is all over. Also, the fly sweep you mention was Jonsen not Bauman.

Super tough. It’s as tough as Bobcat fans want it to be afterward. Still, we gotta get the QB to average 215 with 3 TDs on 70%. He’s shown zero ability to do so this far, so I’m sure he will be able to with the super tough schedule that remains.

Where did you get I said super tough? NOT! Against Texas Tech, making his first start as a redshirt freshman, I don't think expectations were much. Against SEMO he did some good things. Yes, he has a ways to go. He will improve every game and having good talent around him gives him the time to develop. Nice situation to have. Wins are what counts, not stats.

You’re right. Super easy schedule from here, so he should be able to hit those marks.

So really two tough games. UC Davis ranked in the top 10 on the road and Montana who likely cracks the top 20 this week. Montana is a home game. I don’t see any other ranked opponents. UND is not very good.

Yeah, super tough schedule. It’ll be hard for Flacco to hit those marks.

I am not a scat fan but they have a decent schedule ahead of them. Anyone who thinks it is going to be easy is nuts. I think they showed they are going to be tough if baaaaman (see what I did there) does not get hurt and keeps progressing. TA in the backfield is not going to be good for any team facing them.

No prob, bru. Gives me something to do.

Poorgriz Bauman Tracker Update:

1. More TDs than INTs (looking good with 1 TD and 0 INTs).
2. 25-30 TDs and fewer than 10 INTs (1 TD total).
3. Over 200 passing ypg (Averaging 135 so far).
4. 60-65% completion % (48% so far).

All he has to do is average about 225 ypg, 3 passing TDs per game, and complete about 75% of his passes from here on out, and he will hit the marks!
