Did the Idaho guy fake his injury near end of game?

It was little suspect. He got a little rolled up, but he seemed capable of walking off the field, too.

The bad fake was earlier in the game when a Vandal went down grabbing one leg, then rolled over and switched to the other leg. I think ESPN replayed it. The announcers called it out. That one sucked.

Refs screwed up… there was 1:36 to go on the 3rd down play when it started. It was not a “O” second play.

When Clifton was finally tackled near sideline watch the Idaho players tell the guy who was going to run off the field to go down, well after the 3rd down play and mid way through play clock.

For some reason they then put 1:36 back on clock and started 40 second play clock.

Thankfully it didn’t become an issue but it gifted Idaho precious time they shouldn’t have had.

Imagine that. The refs screwed up.

I just re-watched the game and you are absolutely right. That play that Clifton ran to the sideline took the play clock down to 1:28. When the Idaho player went down to injury, the time clock should have been reset to 1:28 with a 40 second play clock. Thankfully, it did not matter, but 8 seconds in that game could have been a major difference.
Go Griz!

#bsc.

tough to call him out, because there certainly is a chance he was hurt. but it seemed odd that when he went down he seemed to be grabbing his leg, then it appeared it somehow morphed into a shoulder injury.

however, i will say this. that kid is a gamer. as i was telling wbtfg today, when he made a nice play and the crowd around me (i was in GA) was going nuts, i waited until it was quiet and loudly stated "your best player is from montana." nary a word from the locals. in fact, they had more montana kids starting on their team (1) then they did idaho kids.

I didn’t see the “injury” play, so don’t know. Seemed suspicious.

Helena kid that went to Tech. I trust him.

That must be so odd.... to be a football kid growing up in montana, probably idolizing either the cats or the griz, and then playing against Montana with a different state's name across your chest. I would have mixed feelings about that if it were me!

hard to tell, he grabbed a leg but then got up and acted like it was a shoulder/arm injury and attempted to limp off the field. I call bush league fake injury.

Dude dislocated his shoulder reaching for his faked injured leg. Karma
